James Carville thought he had the perfect attack line against Trump.
But the Democrat strategist just crossed a line that even liberals can't defend.
And James Carville just compared Trump's America to a narco-terrorist dictatorship and it backfired spectacularly.
Carville says America deserves to be invaded just like Venezuela
James Carville melted down on MS NOW after Trump captured Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro.
The bitter Clinton operative claimed America would be "ripe for invasion" if targeting corrupt regimes was legitimate.
"Look, if it was legitimate to invade a corrupt and an attempted authoritarian nation, then we better get troops on San Francisco and Boston — and all up and down the east and West Coast — because we would be ripe for invasion if somebody wanted to overturn a massively corrupt regime, which is, in my opinion, which we have here right this minute," Carville told host Ari Melber.
Read that again.
Carville just put Trump's America in the same category as Maduro's Venezuela — a narco-terrorist state that stole elections, starved millions, and killed hundreds of Americans with cartel drugs.
That's not political commentary.
That's derangement.
Trump removed a dictator who ran one of the world's largest drug trafficking operations.
Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores face federal charges for narco-terrorism, cocaine trafficking, and weapons offenses after their capture Saturday and Monday indictment.
The operation was a stunning success that eliminated a major security threat 90 miles from America's southern border.
But Carville can't stomach seeing Trump succeed where Biden failed for four years.
Carville claims everyday Americans won't gain from removing narco-terrorist
The Louisiana Democrat also mocked Trump voters who thought the President cared about their lives.
"Who benefits from this operation? We're doing all this. Who's going to be a winner? Is a deputy sheriff in some rural Iowa going to be the winner here? Is a dental hygienist in western Montana going to be the winner here? I don't think so," Carville asked.
Actually, yes — they absolutely will.
Every deputy sheriff in America wins when one of the world's biggest drug traffickers faces justice.
Every American wins when deadly fentanyl and cartel violence coming from Venezuela gets cut off at the source.
The White House destroyed Carville's ridiculous claims in a statement to Fox News Digital.
"Earlier this year, President Trump paved the way for peace in the Middle East by obliterating Iran's nuclear facilities," White House spokesperson Anna Kelly told Fox News Digital.
"Now, he is bringing narcoterrorist Nicolas Maduro to justice for bringing deadly drugs and vicious criminals into our country."
A Reuters poll showed only one-third of Americans approved of the operation initially.
But that number will climb as Trump delivers on his promise to stop the cartels poisoning communities nationwide.
Carville also whined that Trump told oil companies about the operation but claimed everyday citizens weren't involved.
The Wall Street Journal reported Chevron and other energy companies didn't actually receive advance notice.
So Carville's entire complaint was based on fake news.
Democrats defend Maduro while attacking Trump
Carville represents exactly what's wrong with today's Democrat Party.
They spent years demanding someone remove Maduro from power.
Senator Bob Menendez blasted Trump in 2020 for not ending "the Maduro regime."
Now Trump succeeded where Biden failed — and Democrats are having a meltdown.
The same Democrats who called Maduro a "ruthless tyrant" now claim removing him is "reckless" and "illegal."
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called it an "unauthorized military attack."
Senator Elizabeth Warren said it was a "sickening return" to American "dominance" in Latin America.
These people prioritize their hatred of Trump over American national security.
They would rather defend a narco-terrorist dictator than give Trump credit for protecting American lives.
Trump announced Tuesday that Venezuela will turn over between 30 million and 50 million barrels of oil to the United States.
The oil will be sold at market price with proceeds benefiting both Venezuela and America.
That's the kind of deal-making Trump excels at — removing threats while creating wins for American workers.
Carville calling Trump's America a "massively corrupt regime" shows how unhinged the Left has become.
They've completely lost the plot.
Trump is removing drug dealers, securing the border, and making America safer — and Democrats are comparing him to the dictators he's taking down.
