Kamala Harris desperately wants to avoid any negative stories in the news.
Her public relations team in the media is happy to oblige.
And J.D. Vance took off the gloves after the media tried to bury this Kamala Harris scandal.
FEMA helps illegal aliens while Americans suffer after Hurricane Helene
Hurricane Helene devastated six states in the southeast to become the deadliest storm to hit the country since Hurricane Katrina.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) was out to lunch while Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee were ravaged by flooding after Helene brought record rainfall.
Private citizens and charities stepped up to fill the void left by FEMA.
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas claimed that FEMA would run out of money because of Hurricane Helene.
FEMA has gone from an agency that provides disaster relief to an illegal alien resettlement agency under the Biden-Harris administration.
More than $1.4 billion has been spent on transporting, housing, and feeding illegal aliens since the fall of 2022.
The spin coming from Democrats and their media allies is that the taxpayer money FEMA is spending coming from a different bucket of money, as if that makes everything ok.
J.D. Vance dismantles the spin around FEMA
U.S. Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) took apart the media’s word games with FEMA’s illegal alien spending during an appearance on Fox & Friends.
Fox News host Will Cain noted that there are “conflicting reports” about FEMA’s financial situation and if spending on illegal aliens contributed to the agency running out of money.
“They’ll say, ‘Well there’s a bucket of money in FEMA that’s gone to illegal aliens and that’s somehow separate than the bucket of money that should —by right — go to Americans,’” Vance explained.
He said that using FEMA to help illegal aliens was an insult to Americans who were victims of the hurricane.
“I think that misses the fundamental point, that the Biden-Harris administration has turned FEMA effectively into an agency that helps to settle, helps to deal with illegal immigration,” Vance said.
The biggest issue according to Vance was that FEMA was spending more than a billion dollars helping illegal aliens instead of American citizens.
“That is just going to fundamentally distract focus from their core job of helping American citizens in their time of need,” Vance stated.
Vance ripped the response from the Biden-Harris administration to Helene that left storm victims to fend for themselves.
“I hope to God you don’t have unnecessary loss of life, but I fear that we do, and it all goes back to why do we have a President and a Vice President, one of whom is on the beach, the other of whom is participating in fundraisers rather than doing their job,” Vance said. “It is incompetence of the highest order.”
He pointed out that the military could have been on the scene in Western North Carolina quickly after the storm.
“In 2010, there was a terrible earthquake in Port-au-Prince, Haiti,” Vance explained. “The 82nd Airborne was on the ground two days later. There was a disastrous hurricane an hour away from the 82nd Airborne headquarters. It took more than a week for the full deployment to arrive and start helping people out.”
The bottom line is Helene victims are suffering from the gross incompetence of the Biden-Harris administration.
