Ilhan Omar's husband watched his two companies surge from $51,000 to $30 million in a single year.
Now Fox News is asking where the money went – and Omar won't say a word.
Instead, she went silent and stayed that way.
From $30 Million to Broke in Twelve Months
Omar's 2024 congressional financial disclosure listed her household assets between $6 million and $30 million.
Her husband Tim Mynett's venture capital firm, Rose Lake Capital, was valued at $5 million to $25 million.
His winery clocked in at another $1 million to $5 million.
In February 2025, Omar went on X and insisted she was "categorically" not a millionaire – that she "barely has thousands let alone millions."
In March, she filed an amended 2024 disclosure slashing both businesses to zero.
Her 2025 filing confirmed the collapse was total – total assets now between $20,000 and $125,000, with debts of $30,000 to $100,000 that could leave her with a negative net worth.
Mynett's reported income for all of 2024? Somewhere between $200 and $1,000 – from a winery that no longer operates.
Her spokeswoman told Fox News Digital the original filing was "based on incomplete information from Mr. Mynett's businesses' accountants in good faith and deference to professional judgement."
What House Oversight Is Calling It
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer is not buying it.
"Who makes a multimillion-dollar mistake on their financial disclosure form?" Comer asked on Hannity. "Either her accountant went to one of those 'Quality Learing Centers' in Minnesota, or she lied about it."
That is a felony-level question dressed in a punchline – and Comer meant both parts.
He has formally requested all financial records tied to Rose Lake Capital and Mynett's other company, eStCru LLC.
His letter to Mynett noted the companies "went from being worth as much as $51,000 in 2023 to as much as $30 million in 2024" with no public explanation for the explosion in value.

House Majority Whip Tom Emmer – Omar's own Minnesota colleague – called her a "complete fraud" and said the revision showed "incompetence at best and a cover-up at worst."
Vice President JD Vance has said the DOJ is opening a probe into Omar's finances as part of the administration's anti-fraud taskforce.
Omar's response when asked if she was under an Ethics Committee investigation? She laughed and said "no."
Her response when asked about the $29 million disappearance? "There's also the possibility that it might rain on this sunny day."
This Is Not a One-Off Accounting Glitch
Here is the part that never makes it into Omar's press statements.
Federal law under Title 18 U.S. Code Section 1001 makes it a crime to knowingly file a materially false statement in any congressional matter.
George Santos overstated assets on his financial disclosures and got 87 months in federal prison – seven years for paperwork that didn't add up.
Omar's paperwork doesn't add up by $30 million.
Paul Kamenar of the National Legal and Policy Center, which has filed formal ethics complaints over Omar's disclosures, made it simple: "She can't keep her story straight. There needs to be a full audit to straighten this out. Omar could face criminal charges for filing false and misleading disclosure reports."

And there is one detail in the filings that no accountant error explains.
The amended 2024 disclosure valued Mynett's two companies at zero – yet that same filing reported he collected between $102,000 and $1 million from those companies during the year they were supposedly worth nothing.
That is a contradiction filed under oath.
The DOJ is watching.
House Oversight is demanding records.
Vice President Vance has put his name on an investigation.
