Now ICE is the one with a file on her.
Donald Trump just told the country exactly what that file contains – without saying a single word.
The Two Legal Conditions ICE Just Admitted Are Met
Donald Trump amplified a Just the News report Sunday revealing that ICE refused to hand over any records related to the Ilhan Omar immigration fraud investigation – citing a federal exemption reserved for ongoing enforcement proceedings.
That exemption is not a bureaucratic formality.
To invoke it legally, ICE must satisfy two conditions: a reasonable likelihood that law enforcement proceedings are pending or contemplated, and a credible showing that releasing the records would cause specific, articulable harm to those proceedings.
ICE confirmed responsive records exist.
ICE confirmed those records are being withheld in full.

ICE confirmed that releasing them could "reasonably be expected to interfere with enforcement proceedings."
That is not a dead file sitting in a dusty archive.
The Case the Obama DOJ Buried for a Decade
Just the News filed the FOIA request in January seeking ICE files on allegations that Omar – born Ilhan Nur Said Elmi – married her biological brother Ahmed Nur Said Elmi in 2009 to help him remain in the United States.
Omar legally married Elmi, a British-Somali national, in February 2009.
She obtained a religious divorce in 2011, had another child with Ahmed Hirsi in 2012, filed for a civil divorce from Elmi in 2017 after winning her state House seat, and legally married Hirsi in 2018.
The government of Somaliland – the breakaway nation her own family's connections helped destroy, killing up to 200,000 Isaaq civilians – provided documentation showing Omar's original last name was Elmi before it was changed.
Multiple Somali community leaders have identified Elmi as her brother.
The Obama Justice Department looked the other way for eight years.
Tom Homan did not.
"We're pulling the records, we're pulling the files," Homan told Newsmax last December. "I just got advised by a fraud investigator the other day – who reviewed the file – that there was immigration fraud involved."

In March, Vice President JD Vance revealed the White House fraud task force was already examining the allegations: "We actually think that Ilhan Omar definitely committed immigration fraud against the United States of America."
By May, Vance confirmed the Justice Department had joined the effort.
"If we think that there's a crime, we're going to prosecute that crime," Vance said.
What Comes Next
Here is what the media is not explaining.
Omar is a naturalized citizen – which means deportation requires denaturalization first.
Denaturalization is a civil court process requiring the government to prove citizenship was secured through deliberate fraud or false statements that went to the heart of the naturalization process.
Marriage fraud to obtain immigration status for a relative fits that definition precisely.
Federal juries have convicted ordinary people for exactly this.
In one federal case out of Florida, three brothers each faced up to 10 years in prison for arranging fraudulent marriages to secure immigration status.
They were not members of Congress.
They did not have a decade of protection from a friendly Justice Department.

They did not spend years on the House Foreign Affairs Committee while allegedly helping a foreign national bypass the laws of the country they served.
Omar – while sitting in Congress – declared she would personally block Somaliland's maritime deals with the United States: "While I am in Congress, no one will take Somalia's sea."
She said that out loud.
The woman who allegedly used American citizenship as a loophole for a relative spent her congressional career fighting for the country she came from – against the one that gave her that citizenship.
