Democrats have spent the last year calling ICE agents "the Gestapo," "fascists," and "slave patrols" – and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem warned them repeatedly that their words would get someone killed.
Last week, a woman in Idaho proved Noem right.
Now she's in handcuffs – and the evidence trail she left behind is something you almost have to see to believe.
Sarah Elizabeth George Didn't Snap – She Spent the Day Building a Weapon
Sarah Elizabeth George, 43, of Boise didn't snap one night and do something stupid.
She spent the day of February 18 building a weapon.
Surveillance footage from a Meridian Walmart captured her buying two red gasoline cans and lighter fluid at a self-checkout register at 9:17 p.m.
She used a rewards card registered in her own name.
A Fred Meyer gas station camera filmed her filling those cans shortly after – again using a loyalty card linked directly to her identity.
Then she drove to St. Luke's Meridian Medical Center and waited.
When a paramedic crew stepped inside with a patient, George stole the ambulance from the bay.
She drove north through the parking lot, retrieved additional gas cans she had pre-staged in nearby bushes, and drove the vehicle straight into the Portico North building – a federal office complex housing Department of Homeland Security and ICE offices.
She poured gasoline across the lobby floor and around the ambulance before Meridian officers arrived and she fled on foot.
The Facebook Post That Led FBI and ATF Straight to Her Door
Before she bought the gas cans, before she stole the ambulance, George posted something on social media.
An AI-generated image of the White House engulfed in flames.
The caption read: "If it can be destroyed by truth then it should be destroyed; it was built in lies anyways."
That post – combined with surveillance footage, gas station loyalty card records, and a blue Dodge Dakota pickup truck linking her to the scene – gave investigators everything they needed.
Five days of what Meridian Police Chief Tracy Basterrechea called "good old-fashioned police work" ended with search and arrest warrants served at George's Boise residence Monday evening.
She now faces two federal charges – malicious destruction of government property by fire and malicious destruction of property affecting interstate commerce – each carrying up to 20 years in prison.
"This conduct is unacceptable," Basterrechea said. "It will be investigated, and it will be charged to the fullest extent of the law."
ICE Facility Attacks Have Surged Since Democrats Called Agents the Gestapo
George's attack didn't happen in a vacuum.
2025 was the most violent year for left-wing extremism targeting federal law enforcement in over 30 years, according to a study by the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
On July 4, an Antifa-linked mob ambushed the ICE Prairieland Detention Center in Texas – luring officers outside before opening fire and shooting a local police officer in the neck.
In September, a sniper opened fire on the ICE Dallas field office with ammunition stamped "ANTI-ICE." Two detainees died.
Days before George's arrest, an arsonist hurled a propane tank into a newly purchased ICE warehouse in Surprise, Arizona – the FBI is still investigating that one.
Every one of these attacks came after Democrat politicians spent months comparing ICE agents to Nazis.
Gov. Tim Walz called them "the modern-day Gestapo." Rep. John Larson called them "the SS." Rep. Eric Swalwell compared them to "a KGB officer in Russia."
DHS called on Democrats to stop. The White House called on Democrats to stop. Secretary Noem warned that someone would be killed.
Democrats kept talking.
Now federal law enforcement is being targeted in Idaho – a thousand miles from the sanctuary cities where this movement was born.
George used a rewards card to buy her gasoline and posted a burning White House image on her own Facebook page the same morning she carried out the attack.
This is what happens when politicians tell their followers that ICE agents are Nazis who deserve whatever they get.
The woman in handcuffs is 43 years old, from Boise, and apparently believed every word they said.
