House Speaker Mike Johnson flew into a rage when Tucker Carlson accused him of committing this one serious crime

Donald Trump will be armed with a Republican majority in Congress when he takes office on January 20.

But a GOP majority doesn’t mean Trump’s America First agenda will easily sail through Congress.

And House Speaker Mike Johnson flew into a rage when Tucker Carlson accused him of committing this one serious crime.

Donald Trump’s inauguration is set for January 20.

But even though Trump doesn’t take office until January 20, the new Congress begins on January 3.

When the new Congress kicks off on January 3, the first act of business will be a vote on the Speaker of the House.

Mike Johnson (R-LA) is expected to be reelected as Speaker in the new Congress.

Johnson pretends to be an ally of Donald Trump and a supporter of his America First agenda.

But his actions tell a different story.

Johnson recently created a mess for Trump’s first 100 days when he sold out and caved in to Democrats on a bill to fund the government through March of 2025.

“The House once again punted their obligation to fund the government through the remainder of the fiscal year, this time until March 14, 2025, extending spending levels and policy priorities negotiated in February and March 2024 with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and President Joe Biden,” Breitbart reported. 

“Zero Democrats voted against the bill,” Breitbart continued. “A staggering 196 voted for it, with one voting present and 14 missing the vote to begin their Christmas break early.”

During an interview with his former producer, Tucker Carlson sounded the alarm and warned Republicans about Mike Johnson being a snake in the grass.

Carlson pointed to the original 1,500 plus page bill Johnson proposed in the House.

“On the eve of Trump’s inauguration, right before Christmas, he tried to shove through a 1,500 page spending bill that would have given Chuck Schumer all of the leverage with the debt ceiling going into next year,” former Carlson producer Eduardo Neret began. “I mean, there was a lot more than that in the bill, but, I mean, I guess the point is, like, what’s up with that?” 

Carlson agreed that “there’s something profoundly wrong.”

The former Fox host then blasted RINOs like Johnson who put the interests of Ukraine and other foreign nations above those of the United States.

“I don’t understand it exactly, but I watched him make the number one priority of his Speakership funding Ukraine without any audit at all, at a time when the U.S. border was open, the United States itself was being invaded, and his priority was protecting the borders of a country whose language he doesn’t speak, he knows nothing about; it’s not America,” Carlson said, before adding that it is “not the only country that he’s — whose interest he’s put above ours.”

But then Carlson made one serious accusation against Johnson that caused all hell to break loose.

Carlson said Johnson’s betrayal was “a kind of treason.”

“And so, you know, I don’t overstate it, I think that’s a — it’s a kind of treason, yeah, and it’s very common in Washington,” Carlson said.

Of course, it’s not just Mike Johnson.

As Carlson pointed out, this type of treasonous behavior is far too common in the Swamp.

“He’s not the only one, but I, you know, once you see that, then you lose all faith in a man,” he said.

The original 1,500 plus page spending bill would have likely passed the House if not for the attention generated by Elon Musk through his social media platform X.

Carlson praised Elon Musk for generating pressure on social media that killed Johnson’s original 1,500 plus page bill.

“I wasn’t shocked by what happened, but I was very pleased to see Elon Musk just, just basically stop it single handedly, which is amazing,” Carlson said.
