Michelle Obama mocked Donald Trump at a star-studded Chicago party and Hillary Clinton could not stop laughing.
That was two months ago.
What happened this week made Hillary's cackle age about as well as Barack Obama's Nobel Peace Prize.
What Hillary Said Out Loud on the Pivot Podcast
On August 8, Hillary Clinton sat down on the Pivot podcast and walked listeners through the viral moment at the Obama Presidential Center opening in June.
She and Barack Obama were sitting together when Michelle delivered her speech – listing Barack's accomplishments and pointedly noting he had won the Nobel Peace Prize.
Hillary, 78, said she poked Obama in the back and whispered, "I'm sure Trump is watching this. He thinks he's now in the third circle of hell."
Obama's response: "Yeah, I hope he is."
The crowd of Hollywood liberals – Bono, Springsteen, Stephen Colbert – loved every second of it.

Americans online did not.
"At least Trump won the presidency twice while you Crooked Hillary won zero!" one person fired back on X.
"Bitter hag" was among the kinder descriptions trending within hours.
She also compared Donald Trump to Saddam Hussein.
“When I was in Baghdad… I had meetings in some of his palaces and they were quite reminiscent of what we're seeing in our own White House,” she said. "It's insane, it's sad!" she continued. "It's a reflection of his narcissistic personality…sticking GOLD embellishments all over the walls."
The Prize Obama Got for Nine Months of Work
Here is what the Nobel committee actually said when they gave Barack Obama the prize in 2009.
He had been president for nine months.
He had not ended a war, brokered a peace deal, or secured a single lasting diplomatic agreement.
Even the Nobel committee's own former secretary later admitted the prize "didn't have the desired effect" and that "even many of Obama's supporters believed that the prize was a mistake."

Obama's own chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, reportedly tracked down Norway's ambassador to the United States and accused the country of fawning over a newly elected president.
The prize Obama has spent 17 years bragging about was so premature that his own inner circle was furious it happened.
What Trump Has Actually Done
While Hillary was cackling on a podcast, Trump was doing the work.
He brokered the Gaza ceasefire that freed the remaining hostages.
He negotiated the Armenia–Azerbaijan agreement that ended decades of regional hostility.
He secured the Congo–Rwanda peace deal after career diplomats failed for years.
He has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by Benjamin Netanyahu, the governments of Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Rwanda, and Cambodia, and members of the U.S. Congress.
Trump is the frontrunner for the prize to be announced October 9 – 58 days from now.
The Joke Is on Them
Michelle Obama's jab at the June ceremony was clever at the moment.
She rattled off Barack's accomplishments – rescuing the economy, expanding health care, the bin Laden raid – and slipped in the Nobel as the ultimate trophy Trump will never have.
But political jabs have a shelf life, and this one is already expiring.

Obama won the Nobel Prize in October 2009 after nine months in office.
Trump is competing for the 2026 prize having brokered ceasefire agreements on three continents.
That is not an argument.
That is a ledger.
Hillary Clinton is free to keep laughing.
The Nobel committee announces their decision in 58 days.
