California is a raging dumpster fire.
But Governor Gavin Newsom is more concerned with making sure he’s next in line behind Joe Biden than he is with dealing with the problems facing California.
And Gavin Newsom just humiliated himself on camera for what he did to a little boy in China.
Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom’s left-wing policies have failed California and are causing residents to flee the state by the hundreds of thousands.
Last year, California had a net loss of more than 113,000 residents, which the AP reports “would have been much higher if not for people moving to the state from other countries and a natural increase from more births than deaths.”
Overall, more than 343,000 people left California for another state last year, which is the highest number of any state in the country.
Skyrocketing crime, soaring homelessness, and unaffordable housing prices are the top reasons residents are fleeing the state in droves.
But while California’s problems are piling up with no end in sight, Governor Gavin Newsom is traveling around the world trying to make sure he’s next in line behind Joe Biden for the Democrats.
Newsom recently returned from a week-long trip to China, where he met with dictator Xi Jinping and promised that California would be a “long-term, stable, and strong partner” to the Communist regime as long as he’s in charge.
He also pledged his support for the Left’s radical climate change agenda in the form of buying electric vehicles from the Communist Chinese.
“Divorce is not an option,” Newsom said. “The only way we can solve the climate crisis is to continue our long-standing cooperation with China.”
But it was Newsom’s performance on the basketball court that garnered the most attention from his trip to China.
On a tour of Chinese cultural sites like the Great Wall and the Forbidden City, Newsom decided to play a game of basketball with a group of Chinese children.
But Newsom felt humiliated after a video surfaced showing him knocking a young Chinese boy to the ground during a basketball game and then proceeding to wrestle him while down.
“It was a cringey moment for the Democratic governor but didn’t cause injuries,” the Los Angeles Times reported. “Newsom, in dress shoes, a white shirt, and slacks, proceeded to play with the 9- and 10-year-old children for several more minutes, spinning the basketball on his fingertip and swishing a few times.”
“Then the Governor’s wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, stepped onto the court and took a few shots herself,” the Los Angeles Times continued. “The Newsoms handed out California-themed pins to the kids and moved on to visit a painting class and a school garden.”
Barstool Sports President Dave Portnoy shared the video in a post on social media.
“This Gavin Newsom video is something,” Portnoy wrote. “Dude thinks he’s on the Globetrotters,” he continued. “Keeps trying to spin a basketball on his finger and then commits an egregious offensive foul on a little Chinese kid and then wrestles him after he knocked him over.”
