The response by FEMA to the hurricanes this fall became its own disaster.

Democrats and their media allies tried to hide the embattled agency’s failures.

And FEMA made one awful confession that sent the Biden-Harris administration into a panic.

FEMA botches the response to this fall’s hurricanes

Hurricane Helene became the second deadliest storm to hit the country in the last 50 years behind Hurricane Katrina after it ravaged six states in the southeast in September.

The hurricane killed more than 230 people and caused an estimated $87 billion in damage.

Helene dumped record rainfall that created Biblical flooding in Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee.

Entire towns were wiped from flooding from the region and cities were cut off from the outside world.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) was nowhere to be found in the aftermath of Helene in North Carolina and Tennessee.

Private citizens and charities sprang into action to provide disaster relief and perform rescue missions while FEMA was missing in action.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas stunned the country when he said that FEMA would run out of money after Hurricane Helene.

FEMA has been turned into an illegal alien resettlement agency under the Biden-Harris administration.

The agency spent more than $600 million this year transporting and caring for illegal aliens.

Democrats and their media allies tried to shut down any criticism of the federal government’s response to the hurricane by calling it unpatriotic.

Former President Donald Trump and others who criticized FEMA’s response were accused of spreading misinformation.

And the media invented hoaxes that FEMA workers were being threatened because of misinformation spread about the agency.

The Left wanted to protect Vice President Kamala Harris from being hurt politically during her Presidential campaign so they tried to make it seem like FEMA’s failures were a right-wing conspiracy theory.

FEMA admits it failed to help thousands of storm victims

North Carolina resident Mike Toomey has been trying to contact FEMA for weeks after Hurricane Helene hit.

He’s gotten nowhere trying to call the FEMA hotline.

“They said I was 675th in line,” said Toomey.

Storm victims are desperately calling FEMA for help but no one is picking up the line on the other end.

“Hundreds of thousands of people who are trying to recover from disasters nationwide have been unable to get through to federal call centers or have stayed on hold for excessive periods of time in the weeks since Helene barreled into southern Appalachia last month,” Politico reported.

“Overwhelmed by Helene and Hurricane Milton, the centers failed to answer nearly half of the incoming phone calls over the course of one week recently. For the calls that were answered, it took more than an hour for federal workers to pick up, on average,” Politico also reported.

This would have been called misinformation by the media in October at the peak of the Presidential campaign.

Now that Election Day has passed, the media is willing to come clean about the Biden-Harris administration’s failures.

Former FEMA Administrator Brock Long admitted that the agency has serious problems.

“The business model of emergency management in this country is in trouble,” Long said. “It’s overloaded.”

Democrats and their media allies covered up FEMA problems to help Kamala Harris politically and left storm victims holding the short end of the stick.
