Tesla CEO Elon Musk doesn’t care if people don’t like what he has to say.
He called out one of the biggest deceptions pulled off by the Left.
And Elon Musk pointed out this truth about 2020 that sent Democrats into a frenzy.
Elon Musk isn’t afraid to shake things up and deviate from the party line that most of Silicon Valley’s biggest entrepreneurs toe.
He appeared on CNBC’s Last Call for an interview about his business empire that includes Tesla and Twitter.
Democrats are furious that Musk is using Twitter to call out the corrosive ideologies and policies on the Left like wokeness.
Host David Faber tried to needle Musk about his use of his Twitter account to promote “conspiracy theories.”
“Let’s talk a bit about your tweets,” Faber said. “It comes up a lot, even today, it came up. You know, in anticipation of this meeting. You do some tweets that seem to be, or at least give support to, what some call conspiracy theories.”
“Well, yes, but I mean, honestly, you know, some of these conspiracy theories have turned out to be true,” Musk replied.
The Left tries to discredit ideas by smearing them as conspiracy theories like the idea the pandemic began from a leak from a Chinese lab.
Faber asked him which of these conspiracy theories turned out to be true.
“Well, like the Hunter Biden laptop,” Musk stated.
Democrats, the media, and Big Tech went into overdrive in the closing weeks of the 2020 election to discredit the Hunter Biden laptop as a Russian disinformation campaign.
“So, you know, that was a pretty big deal,” Musk said. “There was Twitter, and others engaged in an act of suppression of information that was relevant to the public. That’s a terrible thing that happened. That’s election interference.”
Musk called out the Left’s attempt to meddle in the 2020 election by silencing the Hunter Biden laptop story.
Faber asked Musk why he decided to put out a tweet that said that left-wing billionaire George Soros is trying to “erode [the] very fabric of civilization” and that he “hates humanity.”
“Yeah, I think that’s true,” Musk said bluntly. “That’s my opinion.”
The CNBC host mentioned that this kind of controversial statement could hurt Twitter in attracting advertisers and turn off potential Tesla buyers.
“Ok, but why share it?” Faber wondered. “Why share it? Why share it when people who buy Teslas may not agree with you? Advertisers on Twitter may not agree with you?”
“Freedom of speech, I’m allowed to say what I want,” Musk responded.
Musk is a self-described free speech absolutist and he’s said he’s willing to lose money to defend free speech on Twitter.
His willingness to gore left-wing sacred cows is going to continue to drive the Left crazy.
