Attorney General Merrick Garland has been making the news a lot these days and not for reasons he probably likes.
His memo indicating a mobilization of the FBI to target parents who criticize certain school board initiatives set off a firestorm across the country.
And now elected officials are beginning to demand Attorney General Garland start investigating this ongoing Hunter Biden issue.
Hunter Biden is the elephant in the room.
It is no secret Hunter has a dark past and that he has had some shady business dealings that are now coming back to haunt his father, President Joe Biden.
However, despite clear indications of corruption, the Left continues to pretend there are no issues with golden boy Hunter.
A few months back news that Hunter would be selling some of his artwork was splashed across every media outlet out there leaving many to question the price of the “aspiring artists” work.
At least five of Hunter’s paintings have already been sold for $75,000 a piece.
The price alone is something that should give people pause but the lack of transparency in the buying process that surrounds Hunter’s paintings is what has many in the GOP demanding an investigation.
Representative Ken Buck of Colorado pressed Attorney General Merrick Garland this week to appoint a special counsel to investigate Hunter’s art sales.
Buck began his grilling by exhibiting two pieces of artwork, one from Claude Monet and the other from Edgar Degas, and noting that they listed or sold at Christie’s Auction House for $700,000 and $500,000 respectively.
Then Buck showed a third painting – Hunter’s painting.
“You may recognize this painting is a Hunter Biden. The Hunter Biden painting sold for $500,000,” Buck stated.
Representative Buck went on to note that Hunter has no artistic background and in 2020 couldn’t find a gallery to list his artwork, but then Hunter’s dad became President and everything changed.
“And what happened in 2020 that changed all that, is that his dad became president of the United States. Now a single piece of art from Hunter Biden sells for more than the average American home,” Buck continued.
The Colorado Congressman went on to publicly call for Attorney General Garland to appoint a special counsel to investigate Hunter Biden, noting that his office had sent a letter to Garland’s office making the same request.
Garland responded by simply stating that he was unaware of the letter from Buck’s office.
There is no doubt that Merrick Garland, his office and so many others in the Biden administration are covering for Hunter Biden and the President.
The Biden family is known for its history of corruption and it’s high time someone be held accountable.
