Anheuser-Busch lost billions of dollars after Bud Light entered into a sponsorship with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney.

Mulvaney’s one social media post set off a boycott that saw Bud Light booted from its long-held position as the number-one selling beer in America.

But Dylan Mulvaney just ended his awards acceptance speech with six words that left Bud Light executives on edge.

Dylan Mulvaney is a 26-year-old TikTok influencer who claims to be a woman.

Mulvaney became famous after he documented his transition to “365 days of womanhood” on the popular social media app TikTok.

A since-fired marketing executive sent Mulvaney a custom-made can of Bud Light that featured his face in honor of his 365th day of claiming to be a woman.

Mulvaney kicked off a nationwide boycott in April when he showed off the custom-made can in a post on social media.

Anheuser-Busch has since lost roughly $27 billion and has been replaced by Modelo Especial as America’s top selling beer.

But Dylan Mulvaney was back in the spotlight on Sunday during the 2023 Streamy Awards.

The award show honors online creators across an array of areas like music, comedy, food, and gaming.

Mulvaney was handed the award for breakout creator at the event.

And the 26-year-old man took the stage wearing high heels and a red satin minidress to accept the award and deliver remarks to the audience.

“My life has been changed for the better, but also there’s been an extreme amount of transphobia and hate, and I know that my community is feeling it and I know that even our allies are feeling it,” Mulvaney began. “I look around this room and I just see so many amazing allies that have platforms and I think allyship right now needs to look differently,” he continued. “You need to support trans people publicly and proudly.”

Mulvaney told the audience “I love you so much, thank you, thank you.”

But then he said six words that reminded everyone about the Bud Light debacle and the ongoing boycott.

“I’m gonna go have a beer,” Mulvaney said, before adding “and I love ya!”

Anheuser-Busch executives would just like for the Mulvaney controversy to blow over and for Americans to get back to drinking their formerly number one beer.

But the boycott remains strong.

And Mulvaney talking about beer on stage wearing heels and a minidress will only keep the Bud Light saga on the American people’s mind.
