Former Trump White House lawyer Ty Cobb is now a regular on cable news criticizing Donald Trump and predicting Democrats will succeed in convicting and jailing Donald Trump.
In an interview with CNN’s Erin Burnett, Cobb predicted that Democrat Judge Tanya Chutkan would jail Trump to force compliance with the unconstitutional gag order Chutkan imposed on Trump in Jack Smith’s criminal case against the 45th President for contesting the results of the 2020 election.
The gag order is blatantly an unconstitutional abridgement of Donald Trump’s freedom of speech and an attempt to interfere in the 2020 election.
Joe Biden and the Democrats are making the case that Donald Trump is a threat to end democracy because of what happened on January 6.
Trump can’t respond or criticize the prosecution as politically motivated because Chutkan might order him to prison.
Cobb believes that is exactly what will happen.
“One other thing I wanted to ask you about just as a quick follow here before we go on the point about the gag order,” Burnett asked Cobb about the gag order. “So, where does he end up on this?”
Cobb explained that in the New York civil fraud case brought by Democrat State Attorney General Letitia James the Democrat Judge merely resorted to fines over his absurd and also unconstitutional gag order but that Chutkan will go right to ordering Trump to spend time in jail for any gag order violations.
“Well, the New York judge fined him $10,000,” Cobb responded. “That’s in a civil case. That’s not as consequential as Judge Chutkan’s case . . . I think she’ll come in with a much heavier penalty, and ultimately, I think he’ll spend a night or a weekend in jail.”
“Wow,” Burnett replied.
“I think it’s gonna take that,” Cobb shot back. “I think it’ll take that to stop him.”
The gag order Chutkan issued is so vague with ill-defined terms that it will be impossible for Trump to stay in accordance with it.
But that was the whole point in the first place.
A prosecutor working for Joe Biden and a Democrat Judge granted themselves the authority to jail the leading Republican presidential candidate simply because they don’t like what he says.
