Democrats and a handful of Senate RINOs quickly torpedoed Matt Gaetz’s nomination as Trump’s Attorney General.

Trump then nominated former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi to the position.

And Donald Trump’s Attorney General nominee made one past promise that has Jack Smith trembling in fear.

Donald Trump wasted no time building out his administration after his landslide victory over Kamala Harris to win the Presidency.

Trump has already named most of the people he plans to nominate for cabinet posts in his administration.

But his original selection for Attorney General, Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz, recently withdrew his nomination after pushback from Democrats and RINO Senators.

“Gaetz’s move came in the face of bipartisan pressure, especially as Democrats were pressing for the release of a House Ethics Committee report into him,” CNN reported. “In his four terms in the House, Gaetz’s fire-bombing political tactics had also alienated many people within his own party, including senators who greeted his selection for attorney general with skepticism.”

Gaetz announced his withdrawal on Thursday.

“There is no time to waste on a needlessly protracted Washington scuffle, thus I’ll be withdrawing my name from consideration to serve as Attorney General,” Gaetz announced. “Trump’s DOJ must be in place and ready on Day 1.”

Democrats, RINOs, and the establishment media cheered when Gaetz withdrew his nomination.

But their cheers were short-lived.

On the same day Gaetz withdrew his name, Donald Trump announced a new nominee for Attorney General.

Trump nominated former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi to serve as his Attorney General of the United States.

Bondi, who served as Attorney General of Florida from 2011 to 2019, is a longtime supporter of Donald Trump.

During his first impeachment when he was accused, but not convicted, of abusing his power on a phone call with the Ukrainian President, Bondi served as one of his lawyers in the trial.

But Bondi also has a history of going after the radical Left.

In 2012, Bondi fought against ObamaCare all the way to the Supreme Court where she lost in a 5-4 decision after Chief Justice John Roberts sold out and sided with the Left.

But what has the Deep State terrified is her past criticism of Joe Biden’s “weaponization” of the justice system against Donald Trump.

In 2023, Bondi said she supported going after prosecutors like Jack Smith and holding them accountable for their abuse of power.

She promised that “the prosecutors will be prosecuted” and “the investigators will be investigated.”

“The Deep State, last term for President Trump, they were hiding in the shadows,” Bondi said. “But now they have a spotlight on them, and they can all be investigated.”

Democrats are terrified of Bondi due to her previous comments.

“Pam Bondi was the Attorney General of the state of Florida for eight years, and so she does have the requisite experience,” Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) told CNN’s Jake Tapper on Friday.

“This is someone who is clearly a Trump apologist, a Trump lackey,” Wasserman Schultz added. “That’s what he wants as AG.”

That’s not to say there aren’t problems with Bondi’s past actions for conservatives.

Second Amendment advocates are concerned for their rights over Bondi’s anti-gun work in support of unconstitutional red-flag laws, opposition to Constitutional Carry, efforts to prevent Floridians from receiving compensation for their property after the unconstitutional bump stock ban was enacted, and praised Florida’s massive gun control package passed in the wake of the Parkland murders in 2018.

Of course, Pam Bondi still has to be confirmed by the Senate in January.

But based on some of her other past statements, she will very likely bring Biden’s cronies to justice if confirmed as the Attorney General.
