Democrats want to flood the country with cheap electric vehicles from China.

But there’s an awful secret about them they don’t want the American public to know.

And Donald Trump was speechless over this terrible truth about Chinese electric vehicles.

Vehicles are becoming connected to the Internet

The future of the automotive industry is vehicles packed full of technology.

Vehicles are becoming connected with the world around them to improve safety.

Biden’s Department of Commerce opened a 60-day period for public comments on national security risks related to connected vehicles.

Connected vehicle technology uses the Internet and wireless signals to communicate with other vehicles and identify road hazards, share data, and create Internet access.

It would bring smartphone technology into a vehicle.

Sensing a potential vulnerability in an election year, the Biden White House said it was going to look into potential national security risks from connected vehicles made with Chinese technology.

“Connected vehicles collect large amounts of sensitive data on their drivers and passengers; regularly use their cameras and sensors to record detailed information on U.S. infrastructure; interact directly with critical infrastructure; and can be piloted or disabled remotely,” a White House statement read.

Industry group sounds the alarm on the threat from Chinese technology in vehicles

Securing America’s Future Energy (SAFE), an industry focused on protecting the supply chain, made public comments to the Commerce Department warning about the threat from the Chinese auto industry.

“Foreign adversaries are cornering and leveraging key supply chains to geopolitical and economic ends — with outcomes that could range from cyberattacks on U.S. soil to the gathering of sensitive information and strategic intelligence,” SAFE official Avery Ash said. “The scope, scale, and urgency of this national security risk comes at the same time the automotive industry is experiencing a transformational shift.”

Chinese companies have come to “dominate” the production of many important auto parts according to Ash.

Instead of selling vehicles directly in the United States, the Chinese auto industry is coming into the country through Mexico and Canada in the auto parts industry.

“Mexico was the largest auto parts supplier to the United States, with China ranking third, but China was also the second-largest auto parts supplier for Mexico,” SAFE said.

The Chinese are trying to use the trade agreement negotiated by former President Donald Trump with Mexico and Canada to avoid tariffs.

Ash warned that Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD – which overtook Tesla to become the largest electric vehicle company in the world – could sneak in through Mexico.

“The 27.5% tariffs the U.S. has on Chinese cars has kept their market share near zero even as imports to Europe have skyrocketed,” Ash explained. “With reports the Chinese automaker BYD is considering opening a plant in Mexico, many have speculated that would be part of an effort to enter the U.S. market and circumvent U.S. tariffs.”

If connected vehicles that are Chinese-made or have their parts make it onto the streets of America it could become the biggest surveillance operation in history.
