Trump celebrated the news of Lemon’s firing on his Truth Social platform.
“Good News: ‘The dumbest man on television,’ Don Lemon, has finally been fired from Fake News CNN. My only question is, WHAT TOOK THEM SO LONG?” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
He’s frequently referred to Lemon as the “dumbest man on television” in his long running feud with the former CNN host.
Trump previously ridiculed Lemon when he lost his primetime slot at CNN last September.
“A small step for television, a giant step for mankind. Don Lemon, often called ‘the dumbest man on television’ having made even Lebron James look smart during their interview two years ago, has been FIRED from his prime time evening spot on CNN — extremely low ratings — and will be thrown into their ‘Death Valley’ morning show. I assume this means a BIG salary cut prior to his Complete & Total future firing from Ratings Challenged (to put it mildly!) CNN. Good luck Don, you’ll need it! MAGA!!!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Lemon frequently tried to pick a fight with Trump during his Presidency.
In 2018, when Trump allegedly called African nations “s—hole countries,” Lemon called him a racist.
Trump dubbed Lemon the “dumbest man on television” after the CNN host laughed at a guest who insulted Trump supporters by calling them the “the credulous boomer rube demo.”
Last year, Lemon laughably claimed that Trump didn’t have the courage to come on his CNN show and take hard questions.
But Donald Trump got the last laugh on Don Lemon after he was unceremoniously fired from CNN.
