Carlson’s video showed while there was violence that day, the majority of Trump supporters were not bloodthirsty hooligans.

They should be tried for Fraud and Treason, and those imprisoned and being persecuted should be exonerated and released, NOW!” Trump posted on Truth Social.
Democrats and the media were not the only ones livid that Carlson blew up their carefully crafted narrative about January 6.
Establishment Republicans were up in arms as well.
RINO Senate Minority complained to reporters that Carlson undercut the “official story” about January 6.
“My concern is how it was depicted, which is a different issue,” McConnell told reporters. “Clearly, the chief of the Capitol Police, in my view, correctly described what most of us witnessed firsthand on January 6 . . . It was a mistake in my view for Fox News to depict this in a way that’s completely at variance with what our chief law enforcement official here at the Capitol thinks.”
Mitch McConnell wants to defeat Donald Trump in the 2024 GOP primary.
Part of McConnell’s pitch is that January 6 renders Trump toxic and unelectable with swing voters.
That contention rests on the public buying Democrats and the media’s story about January 6 lock, stock, and barrel.
And Tucker Carlson upset those plans by playing video footage from January 6 that Liz Cheney and her fellow committee members wanted to hide from the public.
