Democrats are having a hard time with the fact that Donald Trump will be returning to the White House in January to lead the nation for the next four years.
Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and dozens of other Democrats have announced plans to boycott Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20.
And Donald Trump Jr. just smacked down Ilhan Omar with this brutal truth bomb about skipping his father’s inauguration.
There’s just over 30 days left until Joe Biden’s Presidency ends when Donald Trump takes the oath of office as the 47th President of the United States on January 20.
Donald Trump will enter the White House armed with a Republican majority in both Houses of Congress.
Republicans hold a razor-thin 218-212 majority in the House and rule the Upper Chamber by six seats at 53-47.
With the new Congress scheduled to be sworn in on January 3, Democrats are still in a state of shock over Kamala’s humiliating election loss.
Despite facing six years of nonstop witch hunts on top of Joe Biden’s lawfare, Donald Trump still crushed Kamala Harris by a landslide, carried every swing state, and won the popular vote.
TIME Magazine even named Trump the 2024 Person of the Year due to his amazing comeback story.
Some Democrats are doing some real soul-searching and trying to figure out what went wrong on Election Day.
But many others have too severe of a case of Trump Derangement Syndrome to use logic or reasoning.
And now several high-profile Democrats are planning to boycott Trump’s inauguration as a show of protest against his Presidency.
“President-elect Donald Trump will be sworn into office in 38 days on the west front of the Capitol, but Democrats are torn on whether they will attend the inauguration,” the Washington Examiner reported.
“The Jan. 20, 2025, ceremony, which will mark the peaceful transfer of power from the Biden administration to the second Trump administration, will be attended by President Joe Biden,” the Examiner continued. “However, some other Democrats are less certain if they will attend.”
So far, more than a dozen Democrats are skipping out on the inauguration.
“For somebody who said he’s going to lock me up, I don’t see the excitement in going to see his inauguration,” former January 6 committee chair Bennie Thompson (D-MS) told Axios.
Some of these Democrats are using the phony excuse that they are skipping the event because they don’t “feel safe coming.”
Ilhan Omar (D-MN) recently announced her plans to boycott the inauguration on January 20.
Omar said she would be attending Martin Luther King Jr. celebrations because she is worried about the “chaos” at the event.
Democrats are acting like Donald Trump’s feelings will be hurt by their refusal to attend his inauguration.
But nothing could be further from the truth.
In a post on X, Trump Jr. made it clear that his father would prefer they all stay home and “make room for a lot more actual patriots to attend.”
“Apparently a large group of Democrat legislators plan to boycott my father’s inauguration, which is great as it will make room for a lot more actual patriots to attend,” Trump Jr. wrote. “They have my complete and total endorsement to stay at home.”
