The Department of Justice indicted Hunter Biden on federal firearms charges.
At first, Republicans viewed it as an improvement over the sweetheart deal originally offered to Hunter Biden.
But Donald Trump Jr. just revealed how Hunter Biden’s indictment could spell more trouble for his father.
Special Counsel David Weiss indicted Hunter Biden Thursday on three felony firearms charges.
Hunter was charged with one count of a false statement in the purchase of a firearm, one count of a false statement related to information dealers are required to collect and keep, and one count of possession of a firearm by an unlawful user of a controlled substance.
If found guilty the crimes carry heavy penalties including prison.
“Biden is facing three criminal counts, including making a false statement in the purchase of a firearm, which carries a maximum of up to 10 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, and three years of supervised release, the documents show,” Fox News reported. “The second count, a false statement related to information required to be kept by a federal firearms licensed dealer, can garner up to five years in prison, a $250,000 fine, and three years of supervised release,” Fox continued, before adding that “the third count, possession of a firearm by a person who is an unlawful user of or addicted to a controlled substance, can land up to a maximum of 10 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, and three years of supervised release, according to the documents.”
Former President Donald Trump pointed out how they only charged Hunter with the one and only crime his father was not involved in.
“This, the gun charge, is the only crime that Hunter Biden committed that does not implicate Crooked Joe Biden,” Trump said. “One down, Eleven to go!”
But Donald Trump Jr. is a little concerned by the Hunter Biden indictment.
Donald Trump has already been indicted four times.
But the timing of the indictments is what has Don Jr. concerned.
The four previous indictments all followed a pattern of coming on the day of or directly after bad legal news emerged about the Biden family.
Donald Trump Jr. is wondering if his father will soon face a fifth indictment to cover for Hunter’s bad legal news.
“Now that Hunter Biden has been indicted how many mins till Biden’s corrupt DOJ drops another Trump indictment to change the narrative?” Don Jr. tweeted. “It’s nice to see something happen, though this is likely the excuse DOJ will use to pretend they’re fair when they give him slap on the wrist!”
