Fox News is shifting directions by parting ways with Tucker Carlson.

This change spells bad news for the conservative movement.

And Donald Trump Jr. called out Fox News for this surprising decision.

Fox News shocked conservatives when it suddenly announced that Tucker Carlson was being taken off the air.

Carlson hosted the top-rated show in cable news and the most influential voice in conservative media.

He was one of the few hosts on Fox that wasn’t afraid to challenge the Republican establishment on his show and was a high-profile supporter of former President Donald Trump’s America First political movement.

With Trump on the political comeback trail, his one time ally, Fox News chairman and media mogul Rupert Murdoch, is turning on him.

Murdoch is reportedly opposing Trump’s Presidential bid and his media empire – including Fox News, the New York Post, and the Wall Street Journal – is following along.

Carlson’s ousting is suspected to be part of a broader shift by Fox back towards the Republican establishment.

Donald Trump Jr. pointed out that Fox is beginning to silence conservative voices on the network during an appearance on the Steak for Breakfast podcast.

“I’ve been watching the censorship happening, even in conservative mainstream media,” Trump Jr. said.

“You saw what Fox did to Tucker Carlson last week, and the week before that, it was Dan Bongino, and, you know, the people who would actually question some of that narrative like: Is it a brilliant plan to send $130 billion to Ukraine, one of the most corrupt nations in the world?” Trump Jr. added.

Carlson was the most outspoken critic of U.S. involvement in the war between Russia and Ukraine in the media.

In addition to Carlson, Fox News parted with its top-rated weekend host Dan Bongino days before.

Trump Jr. is a top surrogate for his father’s Presidential campaign but noted that Fox News has given him the cold shoulder in recent months.

“I used to be on Fox 3, 4, 5, 6, 10 times a week,” Trump Jr. explained. “I haven’t been on in nine months. Not a call, not an invite, not anything.”

Donald Trump waited months to appear on Fox News for an interview after he declared his candidacy in November.

Despite being the Republican frontrunner, Trump didn’t appear on the network as a candidate until the end of March for a sit-down interview with Sean Hannity.

It appears that the former President and his high-profile supporters are being shunned by the top-rated cable news network.

“And so, I understand what it, what it appears like they’re trying to do to the America First movement,” Trump Jr. said. “You know, Tucker was another one of those voices.”

Fox News is distancing itself from Donald Trump and his supporters just as the Republican Presidential Primary is starting to ramp up.
