Donald Trump recently referred to his youngest son, Barron, as his “secret weapon.”

But Barron left home this week for college.

And Donald Trump explained why he allowed his son Barron to break this one family tradition.

Generation Z, or Gen Z, is the term used to describe people born between the late 1990s and early 2000s.

With more than 41 million members of Gen Z eligible to vote in the November elections, both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are making an effort to win over and turn out as many of these voters as possible.

Of course, Democrats have a huge advantage among Gen Z voters.

A recent NBC News poll of Gen Z voters showed Kamala Harris leading Donald Trump by 50% to 34%, with 6% choosing another candidate and 10% saying they don’t plan on voting for anyone in November.

Of those who said they are almost certain to vote in the election, 60% support Kamala Harris for President.

The poll showed no difference between the groups in terms of their enthusiasm to vote.

But Donald Trump’s youngest son, Barron, is working hard to help shore up his father’s support among Gen Z voters.

Barron is the only son Donald Trump has with his wife, Melania.

Melania kept Barron out of the spotlight during their time in the White House since he was only ten years old in 2016.

But that started to change when Barron turned 18 in March.

Although he isn’t front and center on the campaign trail like Donald Trump Jr., Barron has helped book his father for interviews with several of the most popular influencers among Gen Z voters, including Adin Ross and Logan Paul.

“Dad, you got to do Adin Ross,” Trump said in an interview with Breitbart. “Barron is the one that pressed me to do it.”

Trump’s interview with Adin Ross soared to more than 100 million views in one day.

But Barron left their home in Florida this week to start his first year of college at New York University.

This is a break from the Trump family tradition of attending the University of Pennsylvania.

“Three of Trump’s four children — Ivanka Trump, Tiffany Trump, and Donald Trump Jr. — graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, which the former president also attended,” ABC reported. “Trump, who attended the university’s Wharton business school, said his youngest son considered the program but decided against it.”

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Trump praised Barron as a “very high aptitude child” who is “doing great.”

“I went to Wharton, and that was certainly one that we were considering,” Trump said. “We didn’t do that – we went to Stern.”

Donald Trump called the Stern School of Business “a very high-quality place” and “a great school at NYU.”

“He’s all set in a certain school that’s very good,” the former President said. “He’s always been a very good student, he’s smart.”

Since Barron is attending New York University, he will be right near his father’s place at Trump Towers.
