Donald Trump was handed a clear mandate from voters about his agenda.
He’s trying to make good on the promises he campaigned on.
And Democrats got one message about the Trump agenda that sent them into a rage.
Democrats plan to fight Donald Trump’s plan to deport illegal aliens
President-elect Donald Trump ran on a clear solution to the border crisis that the Biden-Harris administration created.
He vowed to secure the border and begin the mass deportation of illegal aliens.
Democrats and their media allies are already pushing back at the idea of deporting illegal aliens.
California Governor Gavin Newsom and other Democrat Governors have already begun working on plans to resist any plans by the incoming Trump administration to carry out deportations in their states.
Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker – a potential 2028 Democrat Presidential candidate – vowed to resist any efforts to deport illegal aliens in his state.
“I’m going to do everything that I can to protect our undocumented,” Pritzker told MSNBC host Joy Reid. “They’re residents of our state, and I also obviously need to make sure that whatever they’re [the federal government] doing in our state that it is actually within federal law or state law for them to do it there.”
Illinois has spent nearly $3 billion on dealing with illegal aliens since 2022.
“They’re talking about rounding up people who are law-abiding undocumented immigrants in this country, many of whom are working, paying taxes, not getting any benefits for those taxes, I might add,” Pritzker said. “And we have a law on the books in the state of Illinois called the TRUST Act, which prohibits our local law enforcement and sheriffs and the like from coordinating with the federal authorities.”
Texas Republican tells Democrats to get on board with mass deportations
Representative Michael Cloud (R-TX) represents a House district in South Texas near the Mexican border.
He told Democrat Governors it would “behoove” them to support Trump’s planned deportation operation during an appearance on Newsmax’s National Report.
“This is something that the American people have settled upon — 70% support mass deportations,” Cloud said. “They understand the dramatic and devastating effects on our communities of what’s been happening with the Biden administration allowed to happen at our southern border. And President Trump is putting in people who are going to actually get the job done.”
Cloud warned Democrats that the incoming Trump administration is ready to hit the ground running and they’ve got public sentiment on their side.
“[Trump] going to secure our border and he’s going to get our community safe again,” Cloud explained. “And so, you see the people coming into office, people like Tom Homan, who’s going to do what needs to be done. And states should realize that we’ve seen the massive shift in our population, all the support that came out for these policies, that it would behoove them to get on board with what needs to happen in our country.”
Former acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Tom Homan was tapped by Trump to be his “Border Czar” and run point on his mass deportation operation.
Democrat Governors are already preparing to clash with the Trump administration’s plan to enforce the country’s immigration laws.
