Dan Bongino went toe-to-toe with this Fox News analyst and all hell broke loose

Dan Bongino’s star continues to rise as he fills the time slot left open by the late great Rush Limbaugh.

Bongino’s candor and no-nonsense attitude have made him a star in the conservative movement.

And Dan Bongino just went toe-to-toe with this Fox News analyst and all hell broke loose.

Bongino is a frequent guest on Sean Hannity’s program, where many Fox viewers know him from.

Recently, Bongino appeared on the program with the regular Fox News contributor Geraldo Rivera.

The topic was the Atlanta Police Department recently reinstating officer Garrett Rolfe one year after Rolfe shot and killed Rayshard Brooks.

As Brooks was being detained for a DUI, Brooks and the arresting officers engaged in a struggle during which Brooks got hold of Rolfe’s partner’s taser and fired the taser at Rolfe’s head.

In response Officer Rolfe shot Brooks three times, killing him.

The Atlanta Police Department fired Rolfe the next day after Black Lives Matter threatened riots and burned down the Wendy’s where Brooks was shot and killed.

Geraldo Rivera argued with Bongino that Rolfe’s firing wasn’t that big of a deal.

Bongino responded in his typical crass Bongino way accusing Rivera of being drunk.

Mediaite reported:

Bongino: So your suggestion here is, “Fire the guy because the mob said they’d burn the community down”?

Rivera: No. The firing of the officer did not materially harm the officer who was facing very serious criminal charges. He has a lot more on his plate than whether he has a job right now.

Bongino: Geraldo, seriously man. Have you been drinking? They fired the guy! What you mean they didn’t materially–they fired him! That was on his record! It was all over the news! If you put him in a search engine it shows–

Rivera: His firing is the least of his problems.

As a result of the BLM protests and threats, prosecutors filed eleven criminal charges against Officer Rolfe.  Though Rolfe was reinstated because an oversight board found his due process rights were violated, he is on leave of absence until the criminal charges are resolved.

The actions of the police department and prosecutors infuriated Americans.

Mobs forcing these types of actions by law enforcement is outrageous and needs to be stopped.

It’s anyone’s guess as to why Geraldo Rivera doesn’t seem to understand that issue.
