CNN is once again trying to position itself as the go-to-channel for President Biden’s boosters.
But not even the Biden-loving liberals at CNN could hide the truth any longer.
And CNN had a reality check for Joe Biden that will make Democrats’ blood run cold.
A new CNN poll set off panic alarms in the Democrat Party.
The numbers are devastating for the President.
The poll showed President Biden’s approval rating at just 39 percent.
77 percent of Americans – including 69 percent of Democrats – think Biden is too old to be President.
58 percent of Americans think Joe Biden’s socialist policies have driven the U.S. economy into a ditch.
These numbers prove the American people are actually quite a bit smarter than those in the media or those in charge of our government in Washington, D.C., who constantly tell the American people how great President Biden is.
But most concerning of all – for Democrats at least – is the fact that Donald Trump led Biden by 1% in a head-to-head matchup, which (admittedly) is within the poll’s margin of error.
CNN invited on Obama’s 2012 campaign manager Jim Messina to calm nerves on the Left.
Messina tried to compare the state of play today to the “bedwetting” he saw in 2011 and early 2012 when some on the Left worried Obama could lose reelection, until they found out his likely opponent was Mitt Romney.
CNN contributor Van Jones – a leftist – wasn’t buying it.
He told the already-worried CNN audience that Americans had serious concerns about keeping Joe Biden in the White House. If President Biden were to win, he’d be 86 years old at the end of his second term.
“But right now, today, I think a lot of Democrats look at these numbers and say the whispers are finally showing up in this data. People are talking behind their hand. They worry about Joe Biden. Joe Biden’s like that grandpa that you love, that you believe in. You owe a lot. But you start to wonder, you know, would you give this grandpa a high-stress job for six more years or would you want something else for him?” Jones stated.
Apparently, Van Jones doesn’t understand that Presidents serve for four-year terms (not six).
But anyway, Jones claimed that maybe Messina had a point and Biden’s poll numbers would rebound, but Van Jones wasn’t having it.
He said that Democrats are trying to gaslight voters – claiming the economy is strong and “Bidenomics” is working at a time prices are up 17 percent since 2020.
“I think it may be the bottom for Joe Biden. He may go up as the economy improves, but right now, the economy is getting better and fears about the economy are getting worse. We’ve got to be honest as Democrats that there’s real pain out there at the base of our party. People still don’t feel these policies yet, and we’re gonna have to make the case stronger. We can’t just say, hey, don’t worry about it. We have to make a stronger case for, for, for the help that’s on the way than we have so far,” Jones concluded.
