Clarence Thomas Was Born on a Former Slave Plantation and a Democrat Just Called Him a Lynchman

Clarence Thomas grew up in a dirt-floor shack with no plumbing, on land that was a slave plantation before freed men bought it after the Civil War.

A Democrat state lawmaker just called him a lynchman and a "crazy a** Uncle Tom" on Facebook — because he ruled the wrong way on a redistricting case.

And not one Democrat leader has said a word about it.

What Juandalynn Givan Posted for the World to See

Alabama State Representative Juandalynn Givan (D-Birmingham) didn't do this in a back room.

She recorded herself and posted it.

"This mf'er, this man, this Uncle Tom, this Uncle Tim — I don't know what kind of Black he is," Givan said. "I don't know what d*** plantation this man came from. I don't know what slave ship he was on. I don't know what part of the slave ship he was on."

She kept going.

"He must've been the one that sold us out in Africa. His ancestors had to be the ones that sold us that caused us to be chained. He is the man who has turned us back into the hands of the master."

Then, separately: "Help me understand this lynchman."

And finally: "You are a freaking straw boss — a d*** Uncle Tom for these people."

That is an elected Democrat official deploying every slave-era slur she could reach — because two congressional seats are at risk ahead of Alabama's May 19 primary.

The Democrat Party's response has been total silence.

What Thomas Actually Did

Justice Thomas ruled Monday to strike down a 2023 court-ordered congressional map that had been redrawn by a special master specifically to create an additional Democrat-leaning seat in Alabama.

Thomas has spent his entire career opposing what he calls "racial apportionment" — the drawing of district lines based on race — arguing it is discriminatory and unconstitutional regardless of which party benefits.

Givan called this betrayal.

What Thomas actually did was rule that congressional seats cannot be allocated by skin color.

That is not a fringe position.

It is the same constitutional principle he has applied consistently for 35 years on the bench — and it is the reason Democrats hate him.

The Democrats' Long History of Targeting Black Conservatives

Clarence Thomas told an audience at Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2014 exactly what was coming for him.

"The worst I have been treated was by northern liberal elites," he said. "The absolute worst I have ever been treated. The worst things that have been done to me, the worst things that have been said about me, are by northern liberal elites."

He had 23 years of evidence by then.

When Condoleezza Rice was nominated as Secretary of State, a liberal radio host called her "Aunt Jemima" and announced a giveaway of Aunt Jemima pancake mix on his show the next morning.

He later apologized — not to Rice, but to the fictional Aunt Jemima, saying Rice was worse because she had "kowtowed" to Republicans.

The NAACP president at the time said those attacks were "just as bad as those who hide under sheets and burn crosses."

When Black Republican Michael Steele ran for Senate in Maryland, a liberal blogger ran a photo of him digitally altered into minstrel imagery.

Not one Democrat condemned it.

Juandalynn Givan just added her name to a long list.

The Shack, the Plantation, and the Man They're Calling a Traitor

Pin Point, Georgia — where Clarence Thomas was born on June 23, 1948 — was founded by freed slaves on the grounds of a former plantation after the Civil War.

His mother worked as a maid and raised him alone after his father walked out when Thomas was two years old.

A house fire when he was seven left them with nothing, and his mother sent him to live with his grandfather Myers Anderson — a fuel oil deliveryman who roused the boys at 4 a.m. and ran the household with unyielding discipline.

"He was the one hero in my life," Thomas wrote in his memoir My Grandfather's Son. "What I am is what he made me."

That foundation carried Thomas from a Gullah-speaking coastal community — where English was a second language — to Yale Law School, to 35 years on the Supreme Court.

Juandalynn Givan called that man a lynchman.

She called him that because he refused to hand her party two congressional seats, and when Black men refuse to deliver what Democrats expect, this is what Democrats do.

They reach for the most dehumanizing language available — and then wait for their leaders to say nothing.

That silence is the tell.
