Biden's Gas Prices Were Already Higher Before Iran Fired a Shot
Gas hit $3.45 a gallon this week.
The media is treating that like a national emergency caused by Donald Trump.
Energy Secretary Chris Wright walked onto CNN Sunday and dropped the one fact every liberal anchor tried to bury: gas today is still $1.50 a gallon cheaper than it was in the middle of the Biden administration.
That's not spin.
That's the baseline Biden handed Trump – and the baseline Trump had already beaten before Iran fired a single missile.
Iran launched those missiles because Trump did what Biden never had the spine to do.
Operation Epic Fury launched February 28th.
U.S. and Israeli forces struck Iranian nuclear sites, military installations, and leadership – killing Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and systematically dismantling the regime's ability to threaten its neighbors.

The panic about Iran and oil prices is not new.

The world spent the next decade recovering from Jimmy Carter's failure to confront Iran when he had the chance.
Every president since kicked the Iran can down the road.
Obama signed the nuclear deal and shipped pallets of cash to Tehran.
Biden begged, negotiated, and watched Iran expand its missile and drone programs every single year.
Wright put it plainly on Face the Nation: previous administrations "begged, bartered, and bribed the Iranian government to stop its nefarious activity – and it simply hasn't worked."
This is the 47-year reckoning.
The real question was never whether confronting Iran would cause a short-term price spike.
The real question was whether we'd let Iran build a nuclear weapon while it permanently strangled energy supplies for the next century.
Trump chose to end the threat instead.
Iranian missile launches are down 90 percent.
Iranian drone launches are down over 80 percent.
One large tanker has already transited the Strait of Hormuz without incident.
Wright was direct on Fox News Sunday: "The plan is to get oil and natural gas and fertilizer and all the products from the Gulf flowing through the straits before too long. We're massively attriting their ability to strike with missiles and drones, and that rate of attrition will increase in the coming days."
The disruption is real – but it is measured in weeks, not months.
This is not the 1973 oil embargo, when Arab producers held supplies hostage for months while the global economy buckled.
This is a military operation systematically destroying the one regime that has been causing oil price chaos for half a century.
When the Strait reopens – and Wright is confident it opens in weeks – the world faces a fundamentally different energy landscape.
No nuclear-armed Iran.
No IRGC threatening tankers every time Washington refuses a ransom demand.
No regime using Hormuz as a permanent extortion lever against American consumers.
The short-term pain at the pump is the price of permanently removing that lever.
Iran has raised your energy costs for 47 years through threats, terrorism, and proxy warfare.
Trump is the first president in half a century who decided to make them stop – and Biden's Democrats have spent every day of this war rooting for him to fail.
