Charles Barkley spent Sunday's March Madness broadcast calling Trump's immigration crackdown a disgrace.
He couldn't name a single example.
Tristan Thompson – a legal immigrant who actually went through the process – just told the country exactly what Barkley refuses to admit.

Thompson didn't hold a press conference.
He didn't interrupt a nationally televised game to scold the country.
He sat down with Katie Miller – Vice President Vance's wife and one of the sharpest voices in the Trump orbit – and said what millions of Americans already believe.
"What President Trump is doing, first of all, I love what he's done so far for our country," Thompson said. "I think he's helped our country a lot."
Then he went further.
"I believe for those that do the thing the right way and get the papers, I think they should be taken care of first and foremost. I think that's the right thing."
This from a man who was born in Brampton, Ontario – Canadian, not American.
Thompson came to the United States on a student visa as a teenager to chase a basketball career.
He went to the University of Texas.
He entered the NBA Draft.
He won a championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers alongside LeBron James in 2016.
And in November 2020 – during the first Trump administration – he raised his right hand and took the Oath of Allegiance.
"I came to the U.S. on a student visa and have always had big dreams," Thompson said when USCIS announced his citizenship. "I'm now truly living the American dream."
That's not a talking point.

Charles Barkley Slammed Trump's Immigration Crackdown on March Madness and Couldn't Name One Example
The same weekend Thompson's comments surfaced, Charles Barkley turned the Duke-UConn Elite Eight broadcast into an immigration lecture.
CBS aired a feature on UConn star Alex Karaban – a legal immigrant success story – and Barkley used it as a launchpad.
"The way some of these other immigrants are getting treated in our country right now is a travesty and a disgrace," Barkley told a national audience.
Not one specific case. Not one named individual. Just raw emotion aimed at ICE officers who are doing their jobs.
DHS puts out arrest records week after week – criminal illegal immigrants charged with rape, murder, assault, in cities across the country. Barkley couldn't point to a single legal immigrant being mistreated.
Because there aren't any.

Thompson, who lived the process from the inside, said his path to citizenship moved faster than he expected and pushed back on the idea that his NBA profile opened any doors.
"I think it was just because of the pandemic, so they were just quick with it," he said.
The NBA Has Been Woke for Years but One Player Just Proved Legal Immigration Works
The NBA has had a political problem for years.
Players and broadcasters pour into the left lane on cue – Black Lives Matter patches, social justice messaging, endless anti-Trump commentary – while the league's own fanbase quietly tunes out.
Thompson's comments are remarkable precisely because they're rare.
Stephen A. Smith said last year he understands putting Americans first and acknowledged illegal immigration hurts Black Americans.
Barkley – before this weekend – had pleaded for border security in 2024 when Democrats controlled the White House and showed zero interest in fixing it.
Now that Trump is actually enforcing the law, Barkley is calling it a disgrace.
That flip tells you everything about how political the "immigration concerns" from the sports media actually are.
Thompson has no such contradiction.
He came here legally, became a citizen under Trump's first term, and publicly praised Trump's second-term policies.
That's a man who knows what the process looks like from the inside – and respects it.
The left will never forgive him for it.
