Media outlets aren’t even pretending to try and be objective anymore.
The attitude in the press is it’s all hands on deck to help Kamala Harris win.
And now CBS News left viewers stunned into silence with this attack on Donald Trump.
Norah O’Donnell doesn’t even try to hide her bias
CBS removed Norah O’Donnell as anchor of the CBS Evening News for low ratings.
But O’Donnell is going out with a bang.
Along with Margaret Brennan, O’Donnell served as one of the pro-Kamala moderators in the Vice-Presidential debate between J.D. Vance and Tim Walz.
Brennan and O’Donnell violated the network’s own rules for the debate and tried to editorialize on J.D. Vance’s remarks in real-time.
That O’Donnell and Brennan misstated their remarks when trying to correct Vance only added to the embarrassment.
But that was nothing compared to how O’Donnell tried to throw her entire body on the scale during her nightly newscasts to swing the election to Kamala.
Outside of pro sports, network newscasts are the highest-rated shows in broadcast television.
According to Neilsen, there is only one primetime program – CBS’ Matlock revival – that draws an audience bigger than the 4.3 million viewers O’Donnell averages for the CBS Evening News.
What those four million viewers tuned in to see is O’Donnell delivering a North Korean state media-style propaganda broadcast in support of Kamala Harris.
The day after Joe Biden called Trump voters “garbage,” O’Donnell led off her newscast claiming Donald Trump pulled off a “stunt” by arriving at a rally in Wisconsin in a garbage truck and attacked him for not showing “grace” to Joe Biden who claimed he didn’t mean to call Trump supporters garbage.
“Both campaigns are locking their focus on the battleground states. Vice President Kamala Harris rallied in North Carolina and Pennsylvania today and is in Wisconsin tonight. Former President Donald Trump was in North Carolina earlier, and tonight, he is also in Wisconsin. He landed in Green Bay just a short time ago and then pulled this campaign stunt, speaking to reporters from a garbage truck, proof that he and his supporters are giving no grace to a gaffe by President Biden where he, in his explanation, inadvertently called Trump supporters garbage,” O’Donnell stated.
O’Donnell then made sure to call the Trump campaign racist for a joke a comedian told and claimed Kamala Harris delivered a message of unity.
“This, of course, was in response to that racist joke about floating garbage told at a Trump rally just last weekend. Vice President Harris is distancing herself from the negativity and trying to drive home her unifying message that if elected, she will represent all Americans,” O’Donnell concluded.
This was no one-off.
A little over a week earlier, O’Donnell kicked off a broadcast repeating a false story from The Atlantic about Donald Trump insulting the family of a murdered soldier.
“Two weeks from Election Day, as the final battleground sprint is underway. Every hour matters for these candidates as they try to reach as many voters as possible in the key states that will decide this election. For Donald Trump, that meant speaking at a roundtable in Florida at his golf club courting the Latino vote,” O’Donnell began.
“After that campaign stop, a report that Trump while President used the F-word to describe the murder of a Mexican-American soldier. That story is that Trump scoffed the price of a funeral he offered to pay for Private Vanessa Guillen, something Trump’s team tonight denies,” O’Donnell added.
O’Donnell left out that the family and their attorney denied the story and announced they were voting for Trump.
The bias is out of control, but members of the media don’t care if they are torching their credibility.
All that matters to them is beating Donald Trump.
