California just hit 34 cents per kilowatt-hour – roughly 70 percent above the national average.
That's what the green energy agenda actually costs when you let Democrats run it to completion.
Trump just showed you the off-ramp – and Democrats are furious he took it.
The Green Agenda Was Always a Price Hike in Disguise
The climate agenda was never about the environment.
It was about making fossil fuels so expensive you'd stop using them.
Fossil fuels provide about 80 percent of America's energy needs.
Coal, oil, and natural gas keep your lights on, your home warm, and your car moving.
Climate crusaders see that as a problem – because those fuels are too cheap, too abundant, and too hard to control.
So they built a regulatory machine to fix that.
The Biden administration restricted oil leasing on federal lands, blocked pipelines, and buried coal-fired power plants in so many regulations that utilities stopped building new ones and started closing old ones.
It even tried to ban your gas stove before the public backlash got too loud to ignore.
And here's the part they never say out loud: Biden's own Department of Energy admitted that natural gas costs only a third as much as electricity on a per-unit energy basis.
They knew the math.
They pushed the electric mandate anyway.
Germany Already Ran This Experiment and Lost
You don't have to guess what the full climate agenda looks like when a country goes all in.
Germany did it.
German households paid roughly 39.6 euro cents per kilowatt-hour in 2025 – more than double the global average of 15 cents.
When you break down a German electric bill, nearly a third of the price isn't electricity at all.
It's taxes, levies, and green energy surcharges the government baked directly into every bill to fund wind farms and solar arrays.
Germany built renewables across the country – and bills went up anyway.
Because wind and solar don't work around the clock, you still need gas and coal on standby when the sun goes down and the wind stops blowing.
You're paying for both systems at the same time.
The new transmission lines needed just to move renewable electricity across the grid carry cost estimates in the trillions of dollars.
Add battery storage – because solar doesn't work at night – and you're looking at trillions more on top of that.
California is already halfway to Germany.
States with the most aggressive climate mandates have the highest electric rates – every single time, without exception.
Trump Cut the Green Slush Fund and Democrats Are Screaming
Biden's Inflation Reduction Act shoveled up to $4.7 trillion toward wind, solar, electric vehicles, and the rest of the green wish list.
Subsidies don't come from nowhere.
They come from your taxes.
When Washington picks energy winners and forces them into the marketplace with hundreds of billions in handouts, you pay twice: once at the electric meter and again on your tax return.
Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill cut more than half a trillion dollars in those green corporate giveaways.
EV tax credits – gone.

Wind energy subsidies – phased out.
The Cato Institute called it "the largest repeal of green corporate subsidies in U.S. history."
Democrats called it a catastrophe.
The same people who watched your electric bill climb every single year since 2022 – up 17 percent nationally – are now on television telling you Trump is the one who wants to hurt you.
California is the answer to that lie.
Thirty-four cents a kilowatt-hour is what "protecting the environment" looks like when Democrats get to finish the job.
You're either paying California prices in ten years, or Trump's policies hold.
There is no third option.
