The media is undergoing a dramatic change with the increase of customers cutting the cord from cable and the rise of streaming.
Cable TV networks are declining in value as they lose viewers and advertising dollars.
That’s why Comcast announced that it was going to create a spin-off company for its cable networks of USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, Syfy, and Golf Channel.
MSNBC reportedly could be forced to change its name after losing its connection to NBC.
Big changes could be in store for the left-wing cable news network that has seen its rating crash after President-elect Donald Trump won the election.
Former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly offered his take on what was happening with MSNBC during an appearance on NewsNation’s Cuomo.
He argued that Comcast was “throwing MSNBC overboard” rather than trying to spin it off.
MSNBC Morning Joe co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski were two of the biggest haters of President-elect Donald Trump in the media who claimed he was a fascist and a threat to democracy.
They stunned everyone by announcing that they had made a secret trip to Mar-a-Lago to meet with Trump to restart communications after they hadn’t spoken with him in seven years and to change the way they covered his second term.
O’Reilly thought this announcement was cover for orders that came down from Comcast executives.
“Joe and Mika were ordered to go to Mar-a-Lago by Comcast, the parent company out of Philadelphia,” O’Reilly said. “Comcast said, ‘You two, we’re going to have to try to mend some cliche fences, and you two are gonna have to go in there and you’re gonna try to tamp it down,’ because Comcast knew the next day they were going to announce that MSNBC is vapor. That is a huge media story.”

Host Chris Cuomo wondered what the big deal was about Comcast announcing that MSNBC would be spun off.
“There’s no spin-off,” O’Reilly explained. “See, you buy the propaganda, Cuomo. See what I mean? Why would you believe what’s being reported? If you want the real story, here it comes.”
O’Reilly predicted that MSNBC was broke and would shed the hefty salaries of hosts like Rachel Maddow and Jen Psaki.
“They’re ‘uncoupling,’ their word, Comcast, MSNBC from NBC News. That means MSNBC has no resources at all. None. They’re not going to be able to pay these people millions of dollars, Rachel Maddow, whatever she’s making,” O’Reilly explained.
He thought that NBC News wanted to distance itself from MSNBC after half the country voted for Trump.
“NBC News is saying we don’t want you around. Why?” O’Reilly asked. “Because NBC News’ numbers, Lester Holt and the Today Show, are catastrophic because half the country equates NBC News with MSNBC and they won’t watch. So NBC is desperately trying to save the mothership of information, and they have to throw MSNBC overboard.”
O’Reilly pointed out that globalist billionaire George Soros or someone else could step in to buy MSNBC but no one has shown an interest in the network.
“They don’t want any more of this. Why? Because it is hateful. Not because it is so far Left, the whole NBC/Comcast hierarchy is far left. But it is hateful. They hate Trump, they hate people who voted for Trump. Everybody knows that,” O’Reilly added.
MSNBC’s days could be numbered with Comcast dumping it.
