Bill Maher is one of the few liberals left in the Democrat Party.
But Maher had something he was keeping to himself.
And Bill Maher let Jane Fonda in on one secret that you won’t believe.
Bill Maher is considering retirement
The Left is taking an entirely different approach to Donald Trump’s second term.
Trump’s landslide win showed the futility of the “resistance” strategy to Donald Trump.
When Trump won on November 5, there were no riots in the streets.
Government bureaucrats didn’t leak to the press that they planned to stage internal protests and obstruct the Trump agenda.
A sense of resignation set in as the Left saw once and for all that they were the minority in America and that Trump as well as his agenda were popular.
Bill Maher was ready to throw in the towel.
Maher admitted he was contemplating retirement in an interview on his podcast with left-wing actress Jane Fonda.
“I’m s***ting my pants. I may quit,” Maher told Fonda.
Maher said he was considering ending his show because of Donald Trump.
“Because I don’t want to do another [Trump term],” Maher added.
Maher explained he’s done all the Trump jokes and that he’s not excited about another four years of Donald Trump dominating his show.
“I did all the Trump stuff before anybody,” Maher stated. “I’ve done it . . . I’m bored with it.”
“The show is the politics. There is no other thing!” Maher explained to Fonda.
“And he’s going to dominate the news like he always does,” Maher concluded.
Democrats new stance on Trump
Democrats rioted on inauguration day in 2017.
Shortly after Trump took the oath of office the first articles in the media appeared about impeachment.
Trump’s first weekend in office saw hundreds of thousands of pink p**** hat-wearing leftists take to the streets in the women’s march.
A chastened Democrat Party now admits their posture of total resistance to Trump failed.
And some Democrats now are publicly planning to try and work with Trump on passing his agenda.
“Progressive Democrats wrestling with how to navigate a second Donald Trump presidency are settling on a new approach: Take his populist, working-class proposals at his word — or at least pretend to,” POLITICO reported.
Democrats needed to find a new strategy to deal with Trump now that he won the popular vote and polls show a majority of Americans approve of his job.
“It’s a change in strategy, emerging in private conversations among some liberal elected officials and operatives, that comes after years of resisting Trump ended with him returning to the White House,” POLITICO also reported.
The Democrat Party is in shambles over the results of the 2024 election.
It was easy to make jokes about Trump or resist when the Left thought they were in the majority.
But all the potshots at Trump and the “resistance” failed to stop Trump from winning a second term.
And that left the Democrat Party in complete disarray.
