Journalists worship the ground that Kamala Harris walks on.

Not everyone in the media wants to be a part of this love affair.

And Bill Maher gave Democrats one hard truth about Kamala Harris they’re going to hate.

The media runs Kamala’s campaign

Since she entered the Presidential race, Vice President Kamala Harris has gone more than a month without taking part in a single press conference or interview.

And she’s only answered a handful of softball questions in passing on the campaign trail.

Self-proclaimed “journalists” are more than okay with Kamala hiding from the press.

They’ve become her public relations team, pushing out talking points and defending her.

In fact, they do more campaigning for Kamala than her or her team.

On HBOs Real Time with Bill Maher, the comedian host argued that Kamala ducking the press is more insulting to the media than any swipes that former President Donald Trump took at them.

His guest, CNNs Kaitlan Collins, is part of the Vice President’s cheerleading squad in the media.

“What do you think about the fact that Kamala doesn’t talk to the press?” Maher asked.

“In a way, I feel like it’s more insulting than what Trump does,” Maher continued. “Trump says you’re ‘the enemy of the people,’ which is pretty bad. What she’s kind of saying is, ‘I don’t need you. I’m not talking to you. You don’t matter. You’re not relevant anymore to me.’ To me, that’s even worse than ‘I hate you.’ It’s like ‘I don’t think about you.'”

Collins came to the defense of Kamala.

“I don’t know if it’s worse than denigrating the press on a daily basis, which is what Donald Trump did,” Collins replied. “I covered him in the White House every day as a correspondent. And, you know, oftentimes to kind of, you know, shake you if you’re asking him a question, he would try to get into a personal argument with you, or just deny or lie about what you were asking about. And so I don’t know if I would compare the two.”

She said that she hoped to have Kamala on her show for an interview.

“I’d love to too,” Maher remarked. “But I’m not going to hold my breath.”

CNN is laughed at over its bias

Collins appeared on CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert where her employer became a viral punchline.

“I know you guys are objective over there, that you just report the news as it is,” Colbert told her.

That resulted in the show’s left-wing audience bursting out into laughter.

Maher asked Collins about the audience of The Late Show laughing at CNNs objectivity.

“I’m a big rooter for CNN, but that tells you a lot, doesn’t it?” Maher asked. “How do you guys think you’re doing in that arena of like ‘This is a terribly divided country. We’re not only politicized, a lot of people just hate the other side.’ And CNN, in my view, should be the place where both sides can watch. How do you think you’re doing with that?”

Collins tried to claim that the network was fair to both sides.

She pivoted to all of the work that CNN put into covering the Democratic National Convention.

“I’m talking about the people on CNN,” Maher stated. “And I know what the conservative side of America thinks. And I don’t blame them.”
