A culture war is raging in America.
Conservatives have finally entered the battle and started fighting back.
But Bill Gates just put nearly $100 million on the woke Left winning the culture war in America.
Bud Light’s decision to enter into a sponsorship with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney back in April was a defining moment in America’s culture war.
It ignited a fierce public backlash that quickly turned into a nationwide boycott that set Anheuser-Busch back billions of dollars and knocked Bud Light from its long-held position as America’s number-one selling beer.
“Anheuser-Busch is still reeling five months after St. Louis, Mo.-based brewer tapped transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney to promote Bud Light on her social media — a marketing campaign that ended in disaster and knocked the beer from its No. 1 spot,” the New York Post reported. “Anheuser-Busch’s share price has slipped nearly 9% over the past six months, and it’s down over 3%, to $56.08, in the past five days — a result of a national boycott of Bud Light that has shown no signs of slowing down.”
Anheuser-Busch executives have made multiple attempts to win back its customers, but so far America’s beer drinkers are refusing to budge from the boycott.
The Bud Light boycott is hurting sales of other Anheuser-Busch products like Budweiser, which saw sales decline 10.3% in the week ending on August 19.
Anheuser-Busch InBev, the parent company of Bud Light, reported a 10.5% drop in revenue earlier this month and a nearly 30% decrease in profit in the second quarter.
The Bud Light boycott is a positive sign for conservatives after years of taking a beating from the Left in the culture war.
But Left-wing billionaire Bill Gates believes the boycott will not last much longer and Americans will soon return to drinking Bud Light.
Gates is so confident that he just purchased a staggering 1.7 million shares of Anheuser-Busch Inbev through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation trust.
The 1.7 million shares are valued at $95 million.
The fact that Gates dropped such a large amount on Anheuser-Busch InBev during the middle of a boycott means the billionaire is counting on the situation to reverse and cause the company’s stock to surge.
Bill Gates made his billions by founding Microsoft.
But today Gates is more known for pushing the Green Agenda and other Left-wing policies on virtually every country in the world.
And Gates placing his chips on Bud Light could motivate American beer drinkers to hold strong and continue to boycott the beer.
