The crisis on the U.S. southern border grows graver by the day.
And it’s not just dangerous for American citizens, it’s hurting the Democrat party’s midterm prospects.
Now, Biden’s southern border crisis has longtime Democrats making this shocking move.
Several elected officials in the once-Democrat stronghold of Terrell County along the Texas/Mexico border are switching party affiliation from Democrat to Republican.
The New York Times is calling these party-flips along the southern border a “quiet political upheaval.”
They’re reporting the shift in political allegiances is “fueled mostly by rising crime and constant waves of illegal immigration.”
According to Breitbart News, Democratic Terrell County Judge, Dale Lynn Carruthers, recently announced she would seek another term — but this time, and for the first time in her life, as a Republican.
Carruthers was followed by County Clerk Raeline Thompson who was the next to say goodbye to the blue brand.
Next up was the County Treasurer, Rebecca Luevano – who decided she too would abandon the Democratic Party.
Breitbart reports that one of Terrell County’s two Justice of the Peace is also fed-up with her fellow Democrats, but she didn’t officially switch parties out of fear of disappointing her parents, who raised her as a Democrat.
According to The New York Times, the party shift is in direct correlation to President Joe Biden’s ongoing border crisis.
“More than two million illegal aliens arrived at the U.S.-Mexico border last year, and more than 2.1 million are expected to arrive this year,” The Times reported.
You know it’s bad for the Donkeys when even the New York Times is forced to report on the trend.
But it’s just the latest sign the Left is losing what has traditionally been one of its most loyal voting blocs.
This week’s Texas GOP primaries is yet another indication of Democrats losing their grip on the Hispanic vote – a voting segment they took for granted for far too long.
Some of the U.S. House races have not yet been finalized.
However, when all is said and done, there could be as many as eight Hispanics running for Congress with an R after their names.
And six of them could be Latinas.
Nancy Pelosi would be stunned to walk into the lower chamber and find these new female Hispanic Representatives in the Republican Caucus – she’d likely be so confused she’d try to convince them they’re in the wrong building.
The fact is, there are currently only two Hispanic Congresswomen belonging to the Republican Party.
It’s further sign of Hispanics’ migrations away from Democrats as the party becomes more and more radical.
