Biden’s poll numbers with one demographic have Democrats on high alert

Joe Biden and the Democrats are in full-blown panic mode.

They have no winning message going into the 2022 midterm elections.

And Biden’s poll numbers with one demographic have Democrats on high alert.

The Democrats are already bracing for a red wave in the midterms.

That’s why they have gone full-tilt on abortion, guns, and racism, all of their favorite hits.

But the Democrats’ potential defeat in the midterms could have long-lasting negative effects on the party.

According to polling, Biden has lost significant popularity among Hispanic voters, a demographic that Democrats need to win at a rate of 60%.

Fox News reported that “President Biden’s approval rating among Hispanic Americans has plummeted to 26%, according to a Wednesday poll from Quinnipiac University. Biden is less popular among Hispanics than any other demographic, including age and gender, the poll found. The same Quinnipiac poll conducted last year put Hispanic support for Biden at 55%.”

Those are abysmal numbers for Biden, and frightening numbers for the Democrats.

In 2020, Donald Trump got the highest Republican share of the nonwhite vote in 60 years, and the trend does not seem to be reversing.

Hillary Clinton won Starr County and Zapata County by 60 points and 33 points respectively; Joe Biden only won Starr County by 5 points, and lost Zapata County by 6 points.

Both South Texas counties are almost exclusively latino, and they turned toward Trump in a major way.

They seem to be bellwethers instead of outliers.

And the facts on the ground have not changed.

Hispanic voters in Starr and Zapata swung to the Right because of overwhelming amounts of illegal immigration, and jobs in the energy sector.

Biden has done nothing to stem the tide of unfettered immigration—he’s worsened it—and he’s kneecapped the oil and gas industry.

Ipsos pollster Chris Jackson explained, “Getting prices under control is very clearly the number one priority for the majority of Hispanics and Latinos, and it underscores the challenges Biden is facing now.”

Biden is not getting inflation under control, either.

He’s even called for more spending, which would simply make it worse.

Merrill Matthews of the Institute of Policy Innovation argued, “If Republicans were to consistently draw just over 30 percent of the Hispanic vote, they would likely dominate American politics in both presidential and congressional races.”

If the Democrats aren’t careful they could lose their large advantage with Hispanic voters, and suffer multiple election defeats.
