Biden attempted one desperate move to excuse his terrible economy

Joe Biden is making a mess of the country.

And he has no one but himself to blame.

But Biden attempted one desperate move to excuse his terrible economy.

“Bidenflation” is putting the squeeze on American consumers.

That crunch is particularly being felt in the energy sector, which is causing people to pay considerably more for gas.

The Biden administration also warned that energy prices could go up in the winter.

Biden’s ridiculous response to all of this is to blame oil companies.

National Review reports:

President Biden has written a ham-handed and transparently political letter to the Federal Trade Commission, attempting to shift blame for rising energy prices to the disreputable Big Oil cabal. In the letter, Biden speaks of “mounting evidence of anti-consumer behavior by oil and gas companies,” suggesting that the agency should “consider whether illegal conduct is costing families at the pump.” He believes “you should do so immediately.”

This is a crisis entirely of Biden’s doing.

He undercut American energy independence by banning new fracking and drilling projects on federal land, and sent a signal to companies in the energy sector that his administration would not be friendly in terms of regulation.

That led to speculation in the market, and higher oil prices.

It also doesn’t help that the current Democratic position is to wipe out the fossil fuel industry in favor of green energy boondoggles.

They don’t even hide their antipathy for fossil fuels.

National Review continued:

But when it comes to energy, no one has engaged in more anti-consumer behavior than the Democrats. Earlier this month — the same month that he went to COP26 to reaffirm the nation’s commitment to combatting climate change — Biden was blaming prices at the pump on the “refusal of Russia or the OPEC nations to pump more oil.” While Russia and OPEC may temporarily benefit from higher prices — though both were producing above pre-COVID levels; “it’s the US who’s lagging,” according to Bloomberg’s Javier Blas — all of this would be far less of a problem if the Biden administration hadn’t done everything in its power to undermine domestic production.

Biden wrecked the American oil market, then begged Russia and OPEC countries to bail him out.

Russia got its pipeline while the Keystone XL pipeline was canceled, shedding thousands of American jobs.

Yet Russia still wouldn’t save Biden from himself.

Shifting the blame to big oil isn’t going to fool anyone, either.
