There is no question Dr. Ben Carson calls ‘em like he sees ‘em.
And he has confronted radical leftist ideology at every level from medicine to politics.
But now Ben Carson just made leftists’ heads explode when he declared their favorite tactic is the new Jim Crow.
Dr. Ben Carson is nothing short of an American treasure.
Carson grew up in poverty in Detroit during the civil rights era and overcame those odds to become a historic figure and famed pediatric neurosurgeon.
And he is a world renowned, now retired neurosurgeon who was a pioneer in the field of neurosurgery, especially pediatric neurosurgery.
Dr. Carson became the director of pediatric neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in 1984 at age 33, then the youngest chief of pediatric neurosurgery in the United States.
By the time he retired from medicine in 2013 he was a professor of neurosurgery, oncology, pediatrics, and plastic surgery at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
Carson’s medical achievements include the first reported separation of conjoined twins joined at the back of the head, performing the first successful neurosurgical procedure on a baby inside the womb, developing new methods to treat brain-stem tumors, and techniques for controlling seizures.
He also wrote over 100 neurosurgical publications.
Dr. Carson has received many honors for his neurosurgery work, including more than 60 honorary doctorate degrees.
In 2001, he was even named by CNN and TIME Magazine as one of the nation’s 20 foremost physicians and scientists.
He was selected by the Library of Congress as one of 89 “Living Legends” on its 200th anniversary.
He was also the subject of the 2009 TV film Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story and has written or co-written six bestselling books.
Dr. Carson also got involved in politics and served as the 17th United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development from 2017 to 2021 under President Donald Trump.
He was also a Presidential candidate in the 2016 GOP primaries where he was considered the frontrunner early on.
But after Donald Trump’s incredible rise to the top, Carson withdrew from the race after Super Tuesday and endorsed Trump.
Carson first gained national fame among conservative activists after a speech at the 2013 National Prayer Breakfast, which was critical of the policies of then-President Barack Obama.
He’s been telling it like it is ever since!
Ben Carson has long held the view that self-empowerment is the best way for African Americans – and all Americans – to achieve success in America.
During his time as Housing and Urban Development Secretary he worked to undo socialist Obama-era policies.
Now Dr. Carson is out with a new book with his take on how the race discussion should be framed.
In Created Equal: The Painful Past, Confusing Present, and Hopeful Future of Race in America, Carson does not shy away saying those who view America as systemically racist are, in his opinion, “ludicrous.”
And in one especially damning passage, Carson takes it directly to the Left, saying “Cancel culture and Jim Crow racism have much in common. The aim of both is to disenfranchise and control the targeted group. Neither should be acceptable in the land of the free.”
As he explained in an interview with The Recast, “Cancel culture is there exactly to attempt to intimidate people to keep people from being who they are, for saying what they believe, for acting in certain ways. It is antithetical to the whole concept of freedom.”
This is exactly the kind of leader Americans need, saying the truth Americans are so desperate to hear.
