Donald Trump faces a hoax over his visit to Arlington National Cemetery
Former President Donald Trump was invited by the families of the 13 American soldiers killed in the 2021 Abbey Gate bombing at the Kabul Airport to attend a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery.
Democrats and their media allies used the solemn visit to push another hoax against Trump.
Actress Barbra Streisand tried to take a shot at the former President on social media for visiting Arlington National Cemetery.
“Donald Trump called our military members ‘suckers and losers.’ Yesterday he held a photo-op campaign event in violation of the rules at Arlington National Cemetery,” Streisand ranted on X.
The “suckers and losers” hoax was a smear invented by the left-wing rag The Atlantic, based on anonymous sources the outlet very likely made up.
National Public Radio ran a hit piece claiming that the Trump campaign was taking pictures in violation of the cemetery’s rules.
Streisand claimed that Trump held a campaign event at Arlington National Cemetery, which is a blatant lie.
The Abbey Gate Gold Star Families invited the Trump campaign to attend the ceremony for the third anniversary of their loved ones’ death that was caused by the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan by the Biden-Harris administration.
Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung confirmed that they were granted access to have a photographer at the event.
Gold Star families respond to Democrat hoax
The Abbey Gate Gold Star Families put out a statement saying that they approved of Trump’s photographer and videographer being there.
“We had given our approval for President Trump’s official videographer and photographer to attend the event, ensuring these sacred moments of remembrance were respectfully captured and so we can cherish these memories forever,” the families said in the joint statement.
But that didn’t stop Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign attacking Trump for attending the event.
She went on a tirade on social media that falsely claimed Trump’s trip was a “political stunt.”
The Trump campaign responded with a statement from the Gold Star families that ripped Kamala for her disgusting attack.

Kamala never contacted the Abbey Gate Gold Star Families despite their requests to meet with her.
When she was asked about the deaths of the 13 American soldiers at Abbey Gate in 2021, she started laughing.
Trump followed up with videos from eight Gold Star family members criticizing Kamala for insulting the memories of their loved ones.

Kamala Harris refuses to reach out to the Gold Star families because that would mean she would have to acknowledge that the Afghanistan withdrawal was a disaster.
She’s ignored Afghanistan and lashed out at Trump for attending the wreath-laying ceremony because it made her look bad.
But she only made the situation worse for herself by politicizing Trump’s visit and trying to pick a fight with the Gold Star families.
