Barbra Streisand called Anthony Fauci an "American hero" this week.
Senate Republicans just voted to hold Fauci in contempt of Congress after he refused to answer questions about his own diary – a diary that proves he privately knew COVID was no deadlier than the flu.
What Barbra Streisand did with her own money during that same pandemic makes her the last person on earth who should be giving that lecture.
Fauci's Diary Said 0.2%. He Told Congress 3%.
The diary is the entire ballgame.
Senator Rand Paul released Fauci's personal journal entries in July 2026 as part of the Senate Homeland Security Committee's ongoing investigation.
On February 8, 2020, Fauci wrote in his private diary that the COVID case fatality rate was "more like 0.2-0.3% rather than 2.0%."
One month later, on March 11, 2020, he sat before Congress under oath and testified the mortality rate was approximately 3 percent – ten times what he recorded in his own diary.
The schools closed.
The businesses shut down.

The masks went on.
Your kids missed two years of school. And Fauci already knew, in writing, that this virus killed at roughly the same rate as a bad flu year.
The diary also shows Fauci privately acknowledged the lab leak was "a likely scenario" in April 2020 – the same theory he publicly dismissed as a conspiracy theory for the next two years.
He bragged in the same diary about convincing Bill de Blasio and Gavin Newsom to close their schools.
The man who later denied any involvement in school closures wrote down his pride at engineering them.
After that diary dropped, Fauci showed up before the Senate Homeland Security Committee on July 29, 2026, and refused to answer questions more than 100 times – invoking the Fifth Amendment over and over while sitting in a chair in front of elected lawmakers demanding accountability.
The committee voted 8-5 along party lines to hold him in contempt of Congress.

That is the moment Barbra Streisand chose to log onto Bluesky and call this man "a voice of reason."
"Dr. Fauci is an American hero," she posted Friday.
"The GOP is attempting to rewrite the history of the pandemic," she wrote.
This is the same Barbra Streisand whose production company, Barwood Films Ltd., collected $200,000 in PPP loans during the pandemic – loans the federal government later forgave entirely, meaning she kept your tax money.
Barwood Films qualified as a small business with six employees.

Among those employees: the groundskeeper tending the 3,000 rose bushes at her $20 million Malibu clifftop mansion.
She was simultaneously blasting Donald Trump on social media for mishandling the pandemic crisis.
While small businesses across the country were shutting down permanently and owners were taking out personal loans to make payroll, Streisand's people were filing government paperwork to keep her estate staff on the public dime.
Fauci's senators have also obtained a forensic copy of his cell phone from that period.
Whatever the diary didn't catch, the phone likely will.
Florida has separately launched a state-level criminal investigation into potential self-dealing during the pandemic – an investigation Biden's federal pardon cannot touch.
She Called the Diary a Witch Hunt. The Diary Called Itself a Lie.
Streisand says Republicans are rewriting history.
Fauci's own handwriting rewrote the history first.
He knew the fatality rate was overblown.
He knew the lab leak was credible.
He knew school closures were his idea.
He wrote all of it down himself – and then walked into camera after camera and said the opposite, under oath, for the next two years.
The Senate didn't manufacture those diary entries.
Rand Paul didn't fabricate them.
Fauci did – page after page, in his own hand, documenting the gap between what he knew and what he said.
Calling Fauci a hero requires ignoring that the hero invoked the Fifth Amendment more than 100 times rather than explain what his own diary means.
Calling the investigation a witch hunt requires believing the Senate somehow conjured his private journals out of thin air.
Barbra Streisand has been defending the powerful and attacking the powerless her entire career – right up until the week she collected government relief money she never paid back.
America doesn't need her history lessons.
It has Fauci's diary.
