Former President Barack Obama has all hell breaking loose.
Obama’s causing political headaches for Joe Biden.
That’s because Barack Obama made one prediction he will live to regret.
In a podcast interview with New York Times columnist Ezra Klein, Obama predicted that multi trillion dollar deficits and a massive socialist welfare state were now an accepted part of American life thanks to the coronavirus.
“A part of what happens as a result of the pandemic is there’s a teachable moment about, maybe this whole deficit hawk thing of the federal government, just being nervous about our debt 30 years from now, while millions of people are suffering — maybe that’s not a smart way to think about our economics,” Obama added.
Obama said that he believed if Biden muscled through his $6 TRILLION in proposed spending that Democrats would emerge victorious in the 2022 and 2024 elections.
“I think we’re now in an environment where if we just get some big pieces in place, building on what we did before, people will notice,” Obama added that “it will have a political impact.”
Obama again claimed that the pandemic reoriented America’s thinking to accept socialism and the Green New Deal.
“One thing that the pandemic has done is to start getting people to think in scale,” Obama continued. “You can actually put a dollar figure to what it would take to transition to a clean economy.”
The evidence shows none of this is true.
In April, the jobs report showed a disappointing 266,000 jobs created, when the forecasts called for one million new jobs.
Even liberal economists blamed the poor jobs number on enhanced unemployment benefits, paying Americans more money to sit at home and collect government checks as opposed to going back to work.
Joe Biden’s nearly $2 TRILLION Blue State Bailout bill and other big spending measures are boosting the Core PCE index – a key inflation measure – to its highest level since 1992.
And Biden has proposed a $6 TRILLION budget that projects nearly $2 TRILLION in deficits for the next decade.
Biden has followed Obama’s way of thinking believing that the pandemic fundamentally altered the public’s views on big government.
But it could lead Democrats to disaster in the 2022 midterms if the economy overheats and inflation eats away at Americans’ paychecks.
