AOC's assassination comment attacks Vance over Minneapolis ICE shooting defense
New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez launched a vicious attack on Vice President JD Vance over his defense of the ICE agent who shot Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis.
Good, 37, was killed Wednesday morning when ICE agent Jonathan Ross fired three shots through her windshield after she accelerated toward federal officers during an immigration enforcement operation.
Vance defended Ross at a White House press conference Thursday, calling Good's death "a tragedy of her own making" and declaring the agent "protected by absolute immunity."
AOC fired back at Vance on Friday with inflammatory language that stunned Capitol Hill.
"I understand that Vice President Vance believes that shooting a young mother of three in the face three times is an acceptable America that he wants to live in, and I do not," Ocasio-Cortez told reporters.
The Squad leader didn't stop there.
"That is a fundamental difference between Vice President Vance and I," AOC continued. "I do not believe that the American people should be assassinated in the street."
The Trump administration isn't backing down from its defense of federal law enforcement.

A spokesperson for the Vice President didn't mince words in responding to Ocasio-Cortez's accusations.
"On National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, AOC made it clear she thinks that radical leftists should be able to mow down ICE officials in broad daylight," the spokesperson told Fox News Digital.
The response put AOC's twisted logic on full display.
"She should be ashamed of herself," the spokesperson added. "The Vice President stands with ICE and the brave men and women of law enforcement, and so do the American people."
Federal sources told Fox News on Friday that Good was an immigration activist with ICE Watch, a group that tracks federal agents and works to disrupt their enforcement operations across sanctuary cities nationwide.
The activists call themselves "legal observers" but federal officials say they routinely interfere with legitimate law enforcement activities.
Good's wife Rebecca admitted on video at the scene that she made Good come to confront ICE agents.
"I made her come down here, it's my fault," Rebecca sobbed while covered in Good's blood. "They shot her in the head."
ICE Watch activist trained to resist federal agents in Minneapolis
Multiple sources confirmed Good received specific training on how to confront federal immigration agents.
"She was a warrior," a mother whose child attends the same school as Good's told The New York Post. "She died doing what was right."
The woman explained Good had been "trained against these ICE agents — what to do, what not to do, it's a very thorough training."
Good connected with ICE Watch activists through her 6-year-old son's charter school, which advertises that it puts "social justice first" and emphasizes "involving kids in political and social activism."
Agent Ross had been seriously injured during a June 2025 enforcement operation when an illegal immigrant tried to run him over while fleeing arrest.
Ross was dragged more than 100 yards by the vehicle and suffered injuries requiring over 30 stitches to close lacerations on his arm.
Video footage from Wednesday's incident shows Good's vehicle accelerating toward Ross as he stood in front of it.
The Department of Homeland Security described Ross's actions as self-defense.
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem went further, labeling Good's actions "an act of domestic terrorism" because she had been "stalking and harassing" agents all day.
