Americans have had it with the empty promises and lies the Democrats keep feeding them.
There is no doubt if things keep going the way they are, Americans will show up in droves to vote out the majority party in the 2022 midterms.
And it looks like Andrew Cuomo’s sexual harassment scandal could be what brings down the Democrat Party.
Democrats are scrambling to clean up the fallout from the growing Cuomo scandal.
However, the Party seems to be at a point where they are eating their own.
In a recent interview with MSNBC, Senator Chuck Schumer threw New York Governor Andrew Cuomo under the bus, after yet another woman stepped forward with accusations of sexual misconduct by Cuomo.
Schumer called the allegations “troubling” and said he fully supported an independent investigation.
“Well, every one of these allegations is really serious, really troubling, and needs to be carefully, carefully looked at. I have always said that sexual harassment is just not tolerable in our society, and we know that. And so, I, early on, called for an independent investigation. I have a great deal of faith, Lawrence, in the attorney general of New York State (Letitia James),” Schumer stated.
Schumer went on to say, “She will uncover everything. She will turn over every stone. She has subpoena power for both records and witnesses. And I am also confident that she will resist any outside interference, political or otherwise. I have faith in her.”
While no one should defend an abuser, the way high-ranking Democrats are so quickly throwing their golden boy, Andrew Cuomo, to the wolves doesn’t bode well for the Party.
Actions like Schumer’s could mean an absolute bloodbath for the Democrats in 2022.
While some think this is occurring too far out from the midterms to cause any harm to the Democrats, others have noted that scandals have a way of snowballing on a party.
There is no doubt that the 2022 midterm elections will be highly visible to the American people, and with these types of allegations against such a high-profile member of the Democrat party, it’s possible the voters won’t forget this one.
Chuck Schumer and the rest of the Democrat Party are desperately trying to avoid having this scandal cloud voters’ vision come 2022 by distancing themselves from Cuomo.
Unfortunately, for Schumer and his gang, it might be too little too late.
