ABC News spent years telling you their coverage was fair.
Now their own correspondent just went on a podcast and blew the whole thing up.
Terry Moran worked at ABC News for 28 years – and last week he told the world exactly why every story about Donald Trump felt like it was written by the opposition.
The Confession Nobody at ABC Wanted You to Hear
Moran sat down with The Fifth Column podcast on Friday and was asked the question directly: "Is ABC News a liberal institution?"
He said yes.
"I think like a lot of mainstream media, it's because of lack of viewpoint diversity," Moran said.
Then he dropped the line that explains everything you've watched on ABC for the last decade: "That was one of the problems in covering Trump. Nobody had voted for him."
Nobody.
Not one reporter in that building had pulled the lever for the man they were assigned to cover.
Moran even admitted he circulated internal emails pleading with colleagues to be fair to Trump.
The only people who thanked him were engineers and the occasional producer – not the anchors, not the assignment desk, not the editors deciding which Trump story led the evening news.
Engineers.
What a 28-Year Insider Just Admitted About Your News
Moran isn't some fringe critic lobbing accusations from the outside.
He was ABC's chief White House correspondent.
He was the Nightline co-anchor.
He conducted a face-to-face Oval Office interview with Trump just six weeks before ABC pushed him out.
And he's now telling you – on tape – that every reporter in that building lived inside a political bubble so tight they couldn't find a single Trump voter among their own colleagues.
Trump saw it in real time.
Sitting across from Moran in that Oval Office interview, Trump looked at him and said it plainly: "I don't trust you. I don't trust a lot of people. Look at you. You're so happy to do the interview, and then you start hitting me with these fake questions."
Trump was right then.
Moran just confirmed it now.

Media Research Center President David Bozell didn't let Moran's newfound honesty go unchallenged.
"Terry Moran spent years proving ABC News is a liberal institution, including smearing Trump as a 'Fuhrer,'" Bozell said. "Moran was not an innocent observer of the bias he now acknowledges. He was one of its most enthusiastic practitioners."
That's exactly right.
Moran wasn't a whistleblower quietly raising concerns from the inside.
He called Trump and Stephen Miller "world-class haters" in a midnight post on X – a post so unhinged that even ABC couldn't ignore it.
They suspended him.
Then they let him go.
Now he's on podcasts explaining why the newsroom was biased, as if he wasn't sitting in the anchor chair helping produce that bias for nearly three decades.
The Fraud Has a Paper Trail
This isn't new information – it's a confession that finally matches what your eyes have been telling you for years.
One landmark study found that in 1992, only seven percent of Washington correspondents voted for George H.W. Bush – in an election where Bush won 37 percent of the popular vote nationally.
Think about that ratio.
In a country where four to five in ten voters consistently choose Republicans, the people deciding what counts as news were voting Democrat at a rate that would make San Francisco blush.
Moran called it a "lack of viewpoint diversity."
That's a polished way of saying something much simpler: the people who wrote your news all agreed with each other, and all disagreed with you.

They weren't reporting.
They were narrating.
And the operation held together for decades because they could point to their objectivity standards in one breath and vote the same way as every colleague they'd ever had in the next.
Karoline Leavitt called Moran's original post "unhinged and unacceptable." JD Vance said it was "dripping with hatred."
They were right about the post.
But the bigger story isn't one correspondent's midnight meltdown.
It's that 75 million Americans spent years being told their instincts about media bias were paranoia – and the man who just confirmed those instincts on tape spent 28 years inside the building, anchoring the shows, conducting the interviews, and cashing the checks.
He wasn't a victim of the bubble.
He was a load-bearing wall.
