Soros-funded Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg bit off way more than he could chew with his phony indictment of Donald Trump.

Now Bragg is the one facing investigation.

And Alvin Bragg is quaking with panic over what one ally said behind closed doors.

Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee finally got former Manhattan District Attorney’s office prosecutor Mark Pomerantz to testify.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan subpoenaed Pomerantz to answer questions about the political motivations behind the Manhattan DA office’s investigation into Trump.

Bragg did not indict Trump on charges that Pomerantz referred to as a “zombie case” until after Trump announced he was running for reelection and polls showed Trump having a strong chance to defeat Joe Biden.

But when Pomerantz showed up to testify he clammed up and invoked his Fifth Amendment right to not incriminate himself to avoid answering questions.

In his opening statement Pomerantz expressed hostility to the committee’s investigation and tried to undermine its efforts.

“What I do not respect is the use of the Committee’s subpoena power to compel me to participate in an act of political theater,” Pomerantz raged. “This deposition is for show. I do not believe for a moment that I am here to assist a genuine effort to enact legislation or conduct legislative ‘oversight.’”

“Fortunately, I do not have to cooperate with the cynical histrionics that this deposition represents,” Pomerantz added. “Although the rule of law compels me to be here, it does not require that I play a substantive role in your theatrical production. Under the law, I can decline to answer your questions for several reasons.”

After Pomerantz’s appearance before the committee, California Congressman Darrell Issa lamented the fact that Pomerantz refused to answer questions.

“I’ve never had a more obstructive and less cooperative witness in my over 20 years in Congress,” Issa stated.

“The witness has not cooperated in any way, shape, or form — has simply appeared. And I would characterize as taking the Fifth on every single question. He has answered no substantive questions whatsoever. And clearly appears unwilling to answer any questions even about previous statements he’s made. He is actually invoking his Fifth Amendment rights, in addition to many others,” Issa added.

The question that kept popping up in the minds of Americans is why Pomerantz refused to answer questions.

If Bragg’s investigation into Trump was on the up and up Pomerantz would have had no problem answering questions about Bragg indicting Donald Trump and the process that led to that point.
