Democrats have the Supreme Court dead center in their sights.
Target number one is Clarence Thomas.
And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will try to impeach Clarence Thomas for this insane reason.
Democrats in Congress seized on a manufactured scandal the media used as part of a smear campaign against Justice Thomas.
The press accused Justice Thomas of essentially being bought off by conservative donor Harlan Crow who paid for 38 vacations Thomas never reported on his financial disclosure form.
Thomas addressed these attacks noting that he complied with all disclosure laws and that Crow never had any business before the court.
“Harlan and Kathy Crow are among our dearest friends, and we have been friends for over twenty-five years,” Thomas explained. “As friends do, we have joined them on a number of family trips during the more than quarter-century we have known them.”
“Early in my tenure at the Court, I sought guidance from my colleagues and others in the judiciary, and was advised that this sort of personal hospitality from close personal friends, who did not have business before the Court, was not reportable,” Thomas added.
Leftists didn’t care that Ruth Bader Ginsburg took more vacations that were more extravagant than the ones Thomas went on, the point is to delegitimize the conservative majority.
“Far more travel and luxury for Ruth Bader Ginsburg than Clarence Thomas, but the Left never cared about that because she was on their side. They don’t care about ethics. They care about power, which they don’t have at the Court now,” commentator Erick Erickson wrote on social media.
Democrats believe any institution they don’t control is illegitimate.
And with the Supreme Court, liberals want to smear the conservative Justices as paid-for stooges of right-wing interests so if they win total control of government in 2024 they can impose a left-wing majority by fiat.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tipped the Left’s hand in a post falsely claiming Justice Thomas broke the law.
“No one is above the law. For two decades, Justice Thomas failed to report millions in gifts. Today, we asked DOJ to investigate Thomas for violating the Ethics of Government Act of 1978. We are joined by Ranking Members Nadler & Raskin, and Judiciary Members Lieu & Hank Johnson,” Ocasio-Cortez posted on Twitter.
This is the pretext a unified Democrat government will use to impeach Justice Thomas in 2025 and then pack the Supreme Court with as many as nine radical left-wing Justices so as to create a permanent left-wing majority on the court.
