Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez went after Elon Musk and was humiliated in the process

On nearly a daily basis NYC Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez proves she’s not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

But that doesn’t stop her from attempting to exchange wits with some of the smartest people in the world.

And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez went after Elon Musk and was humiliated in the process.

Apparently “saving the environment” isn’t as important to Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as suppressing your free speech on Twitter.

AOC has gone public with her desire to ditch her Tesla – the one electric car in history that has been able to turn a profit.

For the record, AOC makes $174,000 per year as a U.S. Representative – while a 2020 Model 3 Tesla, one of the cars AOC owns, is currently going for $36,200.

Just think of how many of AOC’s constituents would have loved the six-figure salary Amazon was going to bring to her district, so they could join her as Tesla owners – if only the Squad leader hadn’t nixed Amazon’s relocation to her district.

AOC recently told Bloomberg News she wants to sell her Tesla and buy a different electric car, because she no longer likes Elon Musk.

“At the time (of her Tesla purchase), it was the only EV that could get me from New York to Washington on like one, or one-and-a-half charges,” she said. “I would love to switch.”

Well, there’s nothing stopping her.

The Chevrolet Bolt, the Bolt EUV and the Ford F-150 Lightning pickup truck are all made in the U.S.A, run on battery power, and, to make the ultra-leftist happy, are made in union shops.

Instead of telling Bloomberg News, perhaps AOC should have just put her Tesla up on Carvana and not risked the wrath of the richest man in the world.

AOC’s last tussle with Musk didn’t go well for her.

In late April, the Squad leader took to Twitter and attacked the owner of Telsa, SpaceX and soon-to-be Twitter for wanting to bring free speech back to the platform.

“Tired of having to collectively stress about what explosion of hate crimes is happening because some billionaire with an ego problem unilaterally controls a massive communication platform and skews it because Tucker Carlson or Peter Thiel took him to dinner and made him feel special,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.

Musk didn’t take the woke Congresswoman’s “stress” very seriously, embarrassing her with a single sentence.

“Stop hitting on me, I’m really shy,” Musk tweeted.

Musk’s one-liner was a play on AOC’s belief that the only reason someone could possibly disagree with the former bartender is because she won’t date them.

“If Republicans are mad they can’t date me they can just say that instead of projecting their sexual frustrations onto my boyfriend’s feet,” AOC tweeted. “Ya creepy weirdos.”

It remains to be seen if other Democrats who used to praise Musk and his electric car company will sell their Teslas.

Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona and Representatives Adam Schiff of California, David Cicilline of Rhode Island, Lisa Blunt Rochester of Delaware and Tom Malinowski of New Jersey are all known to own Teslas.

Democrat lawmakers are going to have to ask themselves what is more important to them: cutting down on pollution, or punishing a moderate liberal who exercises common sense.
