But the Deep State is hell-bent on seizing control of Infowars from Jones.
And Alex Jones nearly broke down in tears after Elon Musk ordered his attorneys to prepare for a fight.
Alex Jones has been the voice of his conspiracy-based news site Infowars for nearly 25 years.
For years, Alex Jones was mostly known for conspiracy documentaries like Dark Secrets: Inside Bohemian Grove and End Game.
Jones gained a massive and loyal following over the years and became one of the most influential voices in alternative media on the Right.
But Jones made a terrible mistake when he falsely called the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting a government “hoax.”
This led to a defamation lawsuit brought by families of the victims at Sandy Hook.
Jones lost and was ordered to pay $1.5 billion to the families of the victims.
“Jones’ bankruptcy stems from his obligation to pay $1.5 billion in damages to families of Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims, who filed defamation lawsuits over his false claims that the massacre was a hoax,” MSN reported. “He broadcast the conspiracy theory on his platform, which led to years of harassment and threats against the grieving families.”
As for his Infowars site, it was recently part of a bankruptcy auction where it was purchased by the satirical news site The Onion.
But apparently, the auction may have been rigged against Jones.
And a federal judge just put a temporary pause on the sale of Infowars to The Onion.
“The satirical news publication said the bid was sanctioned by the families of Sandy Hook Elementary victims who won a $1.4 billion defamation lawsuit against Jones in 2022 over his egregious on-air insistence that the elementary school massacre was a hoax,” the Daily Mail reported. “But a federal judge has questioned the secretive bidding process, with Jones believing it gives him a chance to reclaim his outlet.”
The judge cited transparency issues as his reason for pausing the sale.
“I personally don’t care who wins the auction,” Judge M. Christopher Lopez said. “I care about process and transparency.”
“Nobody should feel comfortable with the results of the auction,” Judge Lopez added.
But now it appears Alex Jones is getting some assistance from the world’s richest man Elon Musk.
Attorneys for Musk’s X Corp. filed a notice of appearance during the hearing and requested to be included on any future communications about the case.
A nearly tearful Alex Jones announced it on his program.
“I was told Elon is going to be very involved in this,” Jones said during a live broadcast on X.
Jones then told the Deep State that “the cavalry is here” and that “Trump is pissed.”
“Elon Musk understands these basic fundamentals that more people need to understand,” Jones said.
Jones ended with a warning to the Deep State.
“If you want a fight, you got one,” he said.
