Mayorkas is staring down impeachment under a potential Republican majority in Congress after November’s Midterm elections.
House Republicans have introduced articles of impeachment against him over his dereliction of duty on the border but with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) calling the shots they haven’t gone anywhere.
During an interview with the Dallas Morning News, Mayorkas utterly humiliated himself with an outrageous lie about the border.
Mayorkas was asked about his thoughts about the growing calls for his impeachment by Republicans.
“I’ve got a lot of work to do, and I intend to continue to do it. That’s my response,” Mayorkas said.
Instead of owning up to his failures on securing the border, Mayorkas tried to blame Republicans for the crisis he helped create.
He said that “the political cry that the border is open is music to the smugglers’ ears, because they take that political rhetoric and they market it.”
Mayorkas claimed that human smugglers used this claim by Republicans to convince illegals in Latin America to come to the U.S.
He turned to complaining about Republicans for calling the record number of illegals pouring into the country an invasion.
“The rhetoric that I hear of invasion is very troubling,” Mayorkas said.
Mayorkas told one of the most insane lies of the Biden Presidency by claiming that Republican rhetoric is empowering human smugglers.
President Joe Biden with the help of Mayorkas dismantled any semblance of border security in their quest to create open borders.
The Biden regime has rolled out the red carpet for illegals promising them everything under the sun if they can make it across the border.
Mayorkas is fueling the surge of illegals at the border from failing to do his job enforcing the country’s immigration laws.
