Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA) is running for the U.S. Senate.
Congressman Schiff spent years preparing for this moment, cozying up to California’s Left-wing base in every way imaginable.
And Adam Schiff got blindsided by one major announcement about his future.
Incumbent Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) is retiring at the end of her term in 2024.
But Senator Feinstein is facing questions about her age and cognitive capabilities after a number of disturbing recent incidents that make President Joe Biden look like a youthful teenager by comparison.
When a video of a staff member telling Feinstein how to vote surfaced, many people began saying it was time for her to immediately resign.

Should Senator Feinstein retire, it would put California Governor Gavin Newsom on the spot as it would force him to appoint a replacement, which would upend the Democrat primary.
Newsom has already pledged to appoint a black woman, which would complicate matters for Adam Schiff as he wasn’t born with the correct resume for Governor Newsom.
Running against Congressman Schiff is Congresswoman Barbara Lee, who is black.
Based on his previous comments, Governor Newsom would face tremendous pressure to appoint her.
The California Democrat Party establishment wants Schiff to win this race.
In fact, former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has already endorsed him.
Governor Newsom has stated he would like to stay out of any primary contest.
“I don’t want to get involved in the primary,” Newsom told NBC Meet the Press host Chuck Todd.
Newsom added that he would appoint a black woman to the seat if forced to act by a Feinstein retirement, but that he would only appoint a caretaker who wouldn’t seek reelection.
“It would be completely unfair to the Democrats that have worked their tail off. That primary is just a matter of months away. I don’t want to tip the balance of that,” Newsom added.
“We hope we never have to make this decision, but I abide by what I’ve said very publicly on a consistent basis. Yes,” Newsom continued.
Currently, Adam Schiff is leading the Democrat Primary polls for Senate in the Golden State.

And it speaks to the insane leftists – like Barbara Lee – who entered that race that Schiff, who ran multiple witch hunts against Donald Trump, is considered the safe, establishment choice.
