Democrats outperformed expectations and picked up a Senate seat in the Midterm elections.
But Democrats are playing defense in the Senate in 2024.
And now a top Democrat Senator just made one announcement that left Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff jumping for joy.
At age 80, Joe Biden is already the oldest serving President in American history.
Biden’s age is a major concern among Americans, especially since he is already suffering from declining mental faculties.
Despite concerns about his age and mental condition, Joe Biden still says he is running for a second term in 2024.
Of course, Joe Biden is not the oldest Democrat currently serving in federal office.
Radical left-wing California Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein is 89-years-old.
And just like Joe Biden, rumors have been circulating for quite some time in Democrat circles that Feinstein’s mental health is severely declining.
“The New York Times last May reported that Democrats in Washington, DC, are struggling to keep Feinstein’s declining mental health a secret but that it has become more noticeable,” Breitbart News reported. “The Times noted that among Democrats and Republicans on Capitol Hill, it has been ‘widely’ but also ‘always privately’ accepted that Feinstein is suffering from ‘acute short-term memory issues.’
But unlike Joe Biden, Dianne Feinstein just announced that she would retire and not seek re-election in 2024.
“I am announcing today I will not run for reelection in 2024 but intend to accomplish as much for California as I can through the end of next year when my term ends,” Feinstein wrote on social media. “Even with a divided Congress, we can still pass bills that will improve lives.”

California Democrats Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff jumped for joy over the news that Feinstein is retiring next year.
Adam Schiff expected Feinstein to retire so he recently announced that he was giving up his seat in the House to run for the Senate.
“We’re in the fight of our lives — a fight I’m ready to lead as California’s next U.S. Senator,” Schiff said in a video announcing his candidacy.
Adam Schiff spent the past six years leading Nancy Pelosi’s witch hunts against Donald Trump in the House, including heading up the entire Russian collusion hoax and the sham impeachment over Trump’s phone call with the Ukrainian President.
And Pelosi, who is the most powerful Democrat in California, is lining up behind Schiff and supporting his bid for Senate.
Pelosi previously announced that she would be supporting Schiff if Feinstein retired.
“If she decides not to run, I will be supporting House Intelligence Committee Chair Adam Schiff, who knows well the nexus between a strong Democracy and a strong economy,” Pelosi wrote. “Every time I have asked Adam to take on the tough fight against extremist forces, he has responded with integrity, strength, and success.”
Schiff is not the only candidate in the race.
Democrat Representative Katie Porter is also running for Feinstein’s seat.
But with Pelosi’s support, it will be virtually impossible for any other candidate in California to defeat Schiff.
